Don't let the name beginner cock ring fool you, the name has nothing to do with how many times you've used a cock ring in the past, but instead on the size of the actual cock ring.

This could be used during solo masturbation or used with a partner to prolong ejaculation. As always with any cock ring, do not use for more than twenty minutes at a time due to potential nerve damage with prolonged use.

It is designed to be worn as a cock and ball ring. According to the directions, it looks easy to use. Step one, place a small drop of lubricant around the inside of the ring, step two, carefully place the testicles through the ring one at a time, and step three slide penis through ring as shown in the diagram located on the back of the package.

This is a hypoallergenic, latex-free, phthalate free, non-porous silicone based cock ring. Silicone is one of the safest products on the market because it isn't porous and does not harbor bacteria.

It comes in two colors: black or red. I chose the black because my husband is red-green color blind so the color would be lost on him anyway and also because I figured he'd prefer black to begin with. The size of this particular cock ring is 2 1/4" unstretched diameter and according to the product page has a 6 1/2" stretched diameter and is 1" wide. Now, I don't know if it really can stretch to 6 1/2" since my husband could tell immediately this was not going to fit. I would have liked to have done some testing for myself and included some pictures of my results, but we did not open it because we knew we would be returning it. It is softer, stretchable, and safer than other rings on the market making it easier to put on, remove, and more comfortable to wear. Tantus also makes two other cock rings, the intermediate and advanced versions.

The intermediate version has a maximum stretch length of 2", unstretched length of 1 7/8", and is 3/4" wide. It is a little smaller than the beginner delivering a tighter fit and therefore a more intense effect.

The advanced version has a maximum stretch length of 2 1/4", unstretched length of 1 3/4" and has a 1 3/4" diameter. The advanced is the smalles of the three and provides the most intense effect.

Now that I know that beginner cock ring determines size not level of play, I will be more accurate the next time I decide to order a cock ring for my husband.

From what I can tell, it looks to be designed very well. I like the idea that it is a solid ring; that's the reason I chose this particular ring. The only other ring we have is one that came in a kit that snaps and the snaps could become irritating after some use.

Although we were not able to use this ring due to sizing, I feel this product exudes superior craftsmanship and should last for a long time. I'm sorry I wasn't able to offer personal use with this product, but I hope I made the point clear that you have to know your or your partners exact measurements for this product to work effectively. If I can save one person the hassle from ordering the wrong size, then our experience with it was worth it.
