Disappointing, but maybe he's "chicken."
The cock ring is pretty, but not as beautiful as the picture. I was disappointed because the one we have is too small for use. I think most men probably need the 2 inch size.Published: December 30, 2008
Pros:
Prettiest solid cock ring I've ever seen.
Cons:
It didn't fit.
We've played with and tested a number of different cock rings. This one is the first solid ring that caught my eye. I wanted it as a Christmas present, so it's difficult to actually try to measure for a surprise. The Aventurine ring is absolutely beautiful in the picture. It looks like a blue gem, and caught my eye. It was the solid, non-flexible ring that I wanted to try. When I selected it there were only two sizes that were available, I don't remember one being out of stock (perhaps I didn't notice), but I do remember looking at "small" and "large" in my mind. Jimbo did a review on this. He recommended measuring, and also said that "large" was too large for him. My husband is very tall- 6 ft 4. His cock is long, but somewhat slender compared to other men. I decided on the 1 3/4 inch size ring compared to the 2 1/4 inch size. It didn't fit.
Well maybe, but not right now. I spent an amusing several minutes watching him put it on. Push here, pull there. "Ouch." But he was not at all interested in getting hard with it on. It came off much easier than it went on. He was worried that when aroused, this was something he might not want to be wearing. (Not to mention that he actually wanted sex and didn't want to worry about having to deliberately lose his erection!)
The ring itself was somewhat disappointing. To me, it is not the beautiful blue shown in the picture. It's an opaque, but pretty green. Definitely green color. Similar to Jade. The thickness of the ring is nice- it's about the size of my pinkie finger. Just a tiny bit smaller. I got out a ruler. They are pretty exact on the size. (It's about 2 1/4 from outside edges.)
It comes in a jewelery box labeled Luxotiq and has a pillow base. Certainly discreet enough.
I will contact Eden and see if it can be exchanged for the 2 inch size. I'm honestly not sure of the return/exchange policy on sex toys. However for solid cock rings, I do recommend measuring. My guess is that most men need the 2 inch, if you wear Magnum condoms then you probably need the 2 1/4 inch.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
It looks like this beautiful ring doesn't have enough appeal to my husband that he's willing to try it again. It's buried in a drawer and staying there. That says less about the ring then it does about my husband actually. As a solid cock ring, I'm just not that creative to find many uses for it on my own.

Aventurine. What is this stuff. Why does Eden pop up with a warning "This product contains Aventurine. Are you sure you want to grab it." has anyone heard about safety issues with it? The cock ring is beautiful!!

Good question. -
according to google: link
the site says it's a member of the quartz family and is often used in jewelry. So i would think that unless you've had some sort of reaction to amethyst, there wouldn't be any allergic problems with this.
New Age properties i found include good luck, healing, and more related: it eases anxiety, that is has "projective" energy, that it strengthens your libido and "strengthens your blood and muscle tissues."
seems appropriate for a cock ring :)

Thank you for viewing Aventurine – cock ring review page!

We cannot exchange used toys - even if only worn briefly. As the old adage goes (modified, mind you, to suit this situation) "measure twice...buy once".
Sorry that the ring didn't fit. Thanks for the review.
Sorry to hear this didn't work out for you. If mine was still intact I would be happy to "swap" it with you, but, sadly, I dropped it on a tile floor to test durability and it shattered.
Jimbo- Shattered?? UH YIKES!
You DROPPED it to test durability! ICK. OK. Point made. Either measure, or take your chances and don't DROP it unless you like dropping money! My husband informed me that I'm not allowed to "say that." Except he's not writing. I am.
Yes, I understand the reasons for not returning toys that are used. NP.
Beautiful Dreamer - yes, I would call it shattered because it broke into a lot of little pieces. It wasn't dangerously sharp pieces or anything, but it was more than a couple of pieces.
I got it for free from Eden Fantasys, and one of the comments asked about that. If I had paid for it or it had fit better, I would have been much more hesitant to drop it, but given the circumstances I wasn't too worried abou it.
We've also had a ring with fit problems too DBD, and will always make sure to measure first! There is quite a bit of info on the net on this subject, it helped us.
I'm not sure what we'll do with ours right now. It's too small to wear as a bracelet... We already know that it apparently shatters.
Could make it into a necklace with a nice high quality black cord I guess...if it's gem quality aventurine it'd be really pretty and you get the naughty feeling of having people compliment you on your cock-ring jewelry! I say wear it proudly!
LOL. I'm starting to like the way that you think, Airen!
Thanks for the info! I agree with previous posters. Make it into jewelery!
LOL I have a metal cock ring that I did just that to it. I attached a chain necklace to each side of the ring and wear it. I shortened it a little so it's more of a choker style. No one knows that it is one of hubby's cock rings and it IS a naughty feeling when someone comments on it. Which happens quite often. We both love it, I will catch him randomly looking at it with that naughty look in his eyes.
Great review, thanks!
