Effective and Non-intimidating

I love this thing. I cannot believe I was nervous about using a traditional type cockring before I bought and used the Tantus Beginner Cockring. Now I cannot wait to move on to the Intermediate Ring!

Use

I had used vibrating (jelly type) rings in the past but those were more novelties than actual, functional 'enhancers' and The Tantus Beginner Cockring was my first 'traditional' type device. As such, I am very happy with this product and feel it is ideal for anyone looking for their first ring.

I was somewhat nervous about using a traditional ring, and could never have gotten up the nerve to use one of the metal ones (images of a power saw and the ER kept coming to mind). This made the Tantus Beginner a perfect choice as it appeared to be flexible and rather easily removed in a hurry if necessary. This was one of the least intimidating rings available and seemed like the ideal fit for me.

I have used this ring several times and it works! In fact, it works so well I am planning on upgrading to the Tantus Intermediate ring soon.

Material / Texture

The Tantus Beginner C-Ring is made of thick black plastic/rubber. It is more or less completely smooth and seamless and is completely lacking in odor. It will stretch but not terribly easily. This thing would give you a serious workout if you tried to stretch it very far and with multiple reps. It really does look like a drive belt that would be used in some kind of appliance/motor or one of the various 'cause' bands and is, therefore, rather discrete.

It cleans up super easy with soap and water and seems to dry rapidly.

I have not had an issue with it pulling hair, something that would be a major issue with a c-ring.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Stretchy

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The Tantus Beginner Cockring is completely conventional in shape and design. There's not much that can be done to a cockring, to be honest. It's not rocket science. It is a fixed ring of plastic/rubber that is meant to be slipped over the penis and scrotum.

I think this ring will fit most men but more experienced users may wish to try a smaller ring.

This ring is very easy to put on and take off.

To put on, simply do the following:
1) Lube Ring
2) Insert one testicle
3) Insert other testicle
4) Slip penis through ring
5) Gently push/pull/arrange ring in place
KEY- Do This BEFORE you have an erection- Almost impossible, not to mention painful, to put on otherwise.

To remove, simply;
Gently slide off- No tricks here. Can be done immediately after orgasm.
    • Beginner
    • Can fit over both shaft and testicles
    • Fitted - must measure before purchase

Functions / Performance / Controls

I noticed a definite difference with this ring. Not necessarily a harder or bigger erection but different. In a good way. I am not convinced my wife noticed anything when I was wearing it, but I did.
    • Comfortable during use
    • Easy to use
    • Very stimulating

Care and Maintenance

This ring is almost maintenance free. Simply wash with soap and water, dry, and put away. I usually allow it to air dry and it takes less time to accomplish this than I would expect; almost as if the plastic is water-repellant.
    • Difficult to store

Packaging

The ring came in a small sealed pouch, almost like a 'wet wipe'. There were some basic instructions (more like hieroglyphics) on the package. To be honest... I ripped open the pouch, took out the ring, glanced at the directions, tossed the pouch in the trash, and figured it out.

Personal comments

I made sure to measure myself before I selected and purchased this c-ring and I am also very careful not to wear this, or any, cockring for a long period of time in order to avoid soft tissue/neurological damage. I have read in various forums that the limit is 20 or 30 minutes but it is not like there has been a whole lot of medical research on this to determine the time limit. I usually take it off immediately after orgasm.

Additionally, since you have to put it on before you have an erection; you need to plan ahead a bit and have it on and ready before things go too far.

These last two facts combine so that I do not use this for 'marathon' sex sessions.

Experience

I have been very happy with the Tantus Beginner Cockring. I have definitely noticed that sex feels different while I am wearing this and that the sensations are stronger. I cannot say that my erections are harder, larger, or last longer, but I am still thrilled with this c-ring.

I do have two complaints about this ring; one practical and one more sarcastic....

1) I often forget to get it out and put it on before I have an erection so I don't use it as often as I would like.

2) I am now seriously planning on buying the intermediate ring as the beginner works so well I am eager to try out the smaller ring. Not a bad thing...but when does it stop?!
Follow-up commentary
The Beginner Cock Ring remains one of my favorite 'toys.' It does the job, and I definitely have more sensation when I am using it. The only problem with this thing is remembering to put it on before I have a full erection. Still a 'Top Pick' IMHO.

I like this thing so much I have gone ahead and purchased the Intermediate Cock Ring and a Tantus Vibrating cockring. Those reviews will be forthcoming.

Extremely well-done review! You might actually want to look Tantus up---usually, instead of rubber, their toys are made of very high-quality silicone, which can be sterilized, and doesn't smell bad (like rubber usually does).

My bf has had this cock ring for over a year. He still loves it, it is tight enough on him not to cause an injury.
Too bad that Tantus calls this a beginners ring, an "advanced" cock ring would just be smaller and tighter and could be problematic for most guys'.
