Fucking Beautiful, or Beautiful Fucking?

Sometimes elegance is simplicity; and this is the case with the Tenga 3D. While certainly not the best masturbation sleeve out there, you wouldn't expect it to be given the price - and what the sleeve does attempt to do, it manages nicely. This is a versatile, satisfying toy and, as an added bonus, looks GREAT when you turn it inside out to display the 3D texture!
Published: November 22, 2011
Pros:
Simple, yet satisfying to use. Very unsophisticated, but the best use of a simple design.
Cons:
Compared to other Tenga products this is very simplistic. The sleeve balloons up mid-use.

Use

I don't have a coffee table.

This is, you'll quickly realize, the major drawback to owning the Tenga 3D. That's because this particular adult product is so aesthetically astounding you'll want to show it off to the whole world.

That might sound ridiculous, but it's not. When I opened up the Tenga 3D, I was presented with a smooth, soft cylinder decorated with such sublime squares that I didn't know where the art exhibit ended and the sex toy began. It was a solid cylinder, too - right angled ends and a flat bottom, which even stood up on its own. One of the reasons I wanted to show it off was because, at first glance, it looked anything but a soft, supple sex sleeve.

But the trick, of course, is to turn this masturbation sleeve inside out - so the beautiful textures are on the inside and give pleasure to more than just the eye. Once you've flipped the outside in, the Tenga 3D transforms into something one doesn't necessarily want to show visitors (but what you intend to do with it is best conducted in private, anyway.)

Material / Texture

The Tenga 3D is made from blissfully soft and supple thermal plastic elastomer and is totally fragrance free. It's really a lovely material - nice and stretchy, and firm enough to give the rigid 3D pattern some texture, but not firm enough to the point that it would make the experience of using it uncomfortable (which is something other Tenga products, like the Flip, haven't always been successful with.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

Wonderfully simple, the Tenga 3D flips inside out when you're ready to action - converting it from an innocent-looking cylinder to a plump, inviting fuckhole. The stretchy material of the Tenga 3D means that it can stretch to accommodate even the most impressive cock's girth and length, and the way flipping the sleeve inside out creates a mushroom head at either end makes it easy to grip even with hands that are slippery with lube (a common issue with non-rigid masturbation sleeves.)

If I did have a criticism, it's that the closed-end of the sleeve means you capture an air bubble inside the shaft as you're using it. You can normally solve this by parting the tight top from the shaft of your penis and squeezing the air out. The advantage of doing that is that you create incredible suction along the entire length of your cock.

Care and Maintenance

Elastomer is not the safest sex toy material, but it ranks high. This is fine, since few people share masturbation sleeves anyway - and cleaning the Tenga 3D is a breeze because you can flip it totally inside out to wash and dry it. The only thing to be aware of it to use only water-based lube while using it (and you will need lube, in common with most masturbation sleeves.) Anything else will rot the plastic and destroy your lovely fuckable artwork!

  • Tenga 3D series have a few design fail, (but I still like it) here's the problem:
    • Life004
The second times, I always carefully fold the masturbator inside out, I started seeing tiny stretch marks and tiny holes...

The "Stand" with is a small stick (look at the 6th photos on the page). The design's purpose is to set the masturbator on the stick mid-way to dry it on the inside, it does not hold the masturbator well, it slowly slide down!

They got extra usage for the small cup on the bottom of the case which according to the mannual (look at the first photo with the paper in it). They said it's a "Tray" where you can set the masturbator to stand on after use, it fail to stand on that tray I try many times, it tip other! I had to laugh from their "Tray" design.

  • Eaiser to clean, Tenga 3d or Tenga flip series?
    • Which one is easier to clean, and how long does it usually take you to clean it for both?

I only have Pile. From what I saw from other people's comment(other forum) and my own experience, Pile is the hardest(but not too bad) to clean, because of the varying triangles that lubes are stuck in it(of course if you put so much lubes). So, when you clean it, make sure you clean the little hole in each little triangle (or most of them). All in all, I do not feel annoyed about cleaning Pile, as Pile gives me great pleasure.

  • Any of the Tenga 3d feel like Fleshlight STU?
    • previous forum post was in the wrong forum section. so im reposting here to ask the question.

do any tenga 3d feel like the fleshlight stu? also let me know which tenga 3d u have
    • I just received the module and have used it once. So far I'm unimpressed, fleshlights, or a head honcho or super head honcho are better. I may need to use it more to get the feel though. Also, it's not obvious, but these things are rather small, only 4.5"

I have only tried the Pile and I would certainly recommend that one. The Spiral and Module are the next ones on my list.

  • Material of the Tenga 3D
    • I'm pretty sure this is not made of 100% silicone (I think the same of the Tenga eggs by the way). I went online and I tried to get more information, and within the Q&A section, this is what I found:

"You may use body soap but please refrain from using any soap with high acid or alkaline content as they may erode the elastomeric material."

Oh and for the Tenga egg, they say they are made of "super stretchable elastomer".

It's still a good material for sex toy, and I'm not worried about it, but after touching the texture of the egg, it would have been surprising to find such stretchability in pure silicone.

We might just have to wait for someone to get one and flame-test it.
    • I didn't realize that it was said to be pure silicone. I couldn't imagine that working for a masturbator at all!
