Deep vibe - penis sleeve by Dorcel - review by ToyTimeTim

Penis sleeves can be used to add girth and extra texture to the penis; in the case of the Deep Vibe it also adds a single speed vibrator for even more stimulation. Another attribute to them is that, depending on the length, they can also reduce the amount of feeling to the penis, which in turn may allow the guy to last longer.

To use the Deep Vibe you simply add lube to your penis and the inside of the sleeve and slide it on. Depending on the size of your penis, you can wear it around the base or more towards the top.

The Deep Vibe is made from a high gloss finished Elastomer that is pretty stretchy and comfortable to wear. Elastomer is porous and can't be fully sanitized, so sharing is not advised. You could wear a condom over the sleeve, though, just not under it since that would increase the chance of the condom tearing.

There is a slight smell of rubber or plastic, but certainly nothing that will clear the room. Elastomer is a lint magnet, but since it has a glossy finish it is not as bad as some. I did not have any issues with hair being pulled, but I keep my pubic hair trimmed close.

There is some drag to this Elastomer, so lubing up before putting it on may be a good idea, although lube will allow the sleeve to move easier around the penis, especially if you are on the smaller size of fit. I found it best to skip the lube with my slightly larger than average girth. It does take a bit of effort to get it on, but I had no problems with movement.

The sleeve has ten ribs that fully circle the penis; they are about 1/16" tall. While not the most aggressive texture you will find, they are much better than a ribbed condom. On the vibe portion of the sleeve they stick up further, since the vibe has a thickness of 1/4". Here they will be better felt.

Unstretched, the sleeve has an inside diameter of 1 1/2". I would not recommend stretching much past the 2" mark. The material is pretty thin, so tearing will be possible. Length wise the sleeve is almost 2 1/2" long, as such the guy will lose most of the feeling where the sleeve is placed. For some this will be a good thing, for others not so much. It does, however, give the penis a cock ring effect, as it may restrict blood flow when worn around the base of the penis.

Another possible use of the Deep Vibe would be to use it on a dildo to add girth and a vibe; you just have to have a dildo big enough to hold it securely.

The vibe is a small, flat unit that slides into a pocket inside the sleeve. It measures 1 3/4" x 7/8" and is 1/4" thick. The vibe can barely be heard, even when not inside the sleeve, which was a pleasant surprise. The vibes are of the buzzy variety, but do travel well along the penis.



One small issue is getting the vibe in and out of the sleeve for cleaning; it is not waterproof, so it must be removed. The pocket is formed slightly smaller than the vibe, so it is a tight fit. Lube could be used here, but remember that the vibe it not waterproof, so use it sparingly. A better bet is to use a bit of cornstarch. Also, the pocket walls are pretty thin, especially around the opening, so try not to stretch it more than needed.

The vibe runs on a watch battery (CR2016, included); so far it has lasted for 35 minutes (three uses).

On the outside of the sleeve, the words "On/Off" have been molded into the sleeve; good thing, too, since it is almost impossible to feel the small slide switch to turn it on/off.

When installing the vibe, make sure to put it in right to save yourself some hassles. It will most likely turn on while placing it inside as well.

Once the vibe has been removed, you can use an antibacterial soap and warm water or a toy cleaner. Aside from the vibe pocket, it is pretty easy to clean; the pocket requires a bit of 'finger' work. The vibe can be wiped down with Isopropyl Alcohol as needed.

For storage, a zip top bag or toy pouch can be used. You can also toss it in a toy box as long as you keep it from touching other materials.

Pretty minimal here, a cardboard hanger with a bubble of plastic to hold the sleeve. The front has the name and description along with a naked lady. Her breast are visible and, coupled with the words "Vibrating Sleeve," this is not the most discreet. On the back you will find information written in six languages, along with the company info.




Inside is a folded pamphlet with care, use and battery instructions.

I found this sleeve to be comfortable as long as I placed the vibe on the bottom part of my penis (away from the body); when placed on the top, the vibe would dig into my shaft. Now this part of my penis has less 'padding' so to speak, so it made sense to me. The good part is that my boys could better feel the vibes, and it worked pretty good when grinding on the wife's vulva and clitoris.

The sleeve did a great job of turning my whole penis into a vibe, which the wife enjoyed. What the sleeve failed in was penetration for the wife. She could feel the edge of the sleeve, and it caused her discomfort when it was sliding past her vaginal opening. Once in it was fine, and the texture felt pretty good, but then I could only do small thrusts to keep the discomfort to a minimum. Not all that fun for her or me. In fact, using this with the wife was a total fail for me, as it took so much feeling away; for me to come, I had to take it off.

During the second cleaning, the pocket for the vibe tore around the opening. It is still usable, but I fear not for too much longer. This one area that could use some improvement. It would be great if the pocket wall was thicker, or they used a waterproof vibe that did not need to be removed for cleaning. Another note with the pocket: face the opening towards the base of the penis. This will keep fluids from entering a bit better. Even with the tight fit, I found fluids from sex had filled the opening for the vibe.

It seems that sleeves for us are a no go; the wife's vaginal opening is just too sensitive for such toys. Still, this could be a great sleeve to those with less sensitivity in that area.
