Flight - masturbator in a plastic case by Fleshlight - review by apotheosis

This was my first experience using a Fleshlight, and it didn't the disappoint. The relatively low price and discreet case is what initially drew me towards it.

I'll admit, I was hesitant at first; my only prior experience with a masturbator was a cheap Doc Johnson masturbator sleeve that was too tight to use comfortably and left a messy clean up afterwards. Thankfully, the Flight proved to be not only an extremely pleasurable product but also far less messy.

The Flight comes in a not too discreet blue case with a plastic transparent window showcasing the black case. The design doesn't scream 'sex toy', but it's not something I'd want to leave sitting on top of the trash bin. Inside is the Flight itself, a Fleshlight catalog, a care manual, and a small packet of lube which I haven't tried yet. Interestingly, there is a small disclaimer in the manual instructing users to first remove a plastic rod from the inside of the Flight but when I check there was none. The manual also advises you to first rinse the sleeve under warm water to heat it to a desirable temperature but this is by no means required.

The sleeve itself has a thin coating of talcum powder on it allowing a smooth gliding sensation if you run a finger along it. The sleeve claims to allow comfortable use for men with a penile girth of up to 2 inches. Unlike some other Fleshlights, the opening is simply a round hole with a spiral pattern with a diameter of about half an inch. The inside features several variations in texturing starting with small massaging 'beads' leading to a slight narrowing followed by a tapering ribbed section.

The black case has a slight raised texturing on it for grip with no distinguishing markings other than the name 'Flight' printed along the side. The front is sealed with a removable cap, and the bottom features a cap that can be loosened or unscrewed to allow from varying degrees of suction. One complaint I did have was that the bottom cap was slanted meaning that you can't rest the Flight face up on a table. The Flight's case is about 8 inches long with the cap on while the sleeve has a penetrable depth of just over 6 inches. I was a bit worried at first that the flight would be two larger or chunky to hold comfortably while in use, but it definitely feels a lot smaller in hand, while having a comfortable weight to it. I wouldn't say it's the most innocuous design, but it should be discreet enough to bring it along for travel.

Cleaning the flight is fairly easy, as all you have to do is remove both caps and take out the sleeve, and then rinse both. No soap is needed, just a warm water; though, any toy cleaner also works great. I did notice that, after my first use, that the sleeve gained a sticky coating that made it pick up dust and fingerprints, and no amount of washing could remove it. It didn't become a problem during use after lube was applied, but it was definitely a detracting aspect. Applying some cornstarch or talc powder should get rid of the stickiness and prolong the life of the toy though I haven't had a chance to try.

I started by pouring some lube inside the hole to coat the interior as well as the opening, then applying some to my penis as recommended. Using a condom is definitely possible and recommended if the toy is going to be shared.

Upon insertion, the first thing you're going to notice is that soft bead like heads massaging the head and shaft of your penis. I did have some initial reservations at first due to some prior experience using a cheap Doc Johnson masturbator. I had previously run into problems where the opening was too tight, and the sleeve too short to allow for comfortable use, and I'm strictly average in both length and girth. Thankfully I had no troubles with the Flight as its opening has enough give to accommodate all but the thickest men; though anyone longer than 6-7 inches may find themselves too long to fit everything inside.

After finishing up, I did notice that loosening the end cap too much allowed for a little lube to spill out at the end, so those wanting little or no suction may want to cover it with a paper towel or grab a towel to handle any spills. Unfortunately due to the bottom cap being slanted, you can't simply set the Flight face up with it tipping over and *ahem* spilling everywhere.
