This ring (hence the name) is made out of 100% pure silicone. This means it is flexible, but not extremely flexible. Therefore it is a little larger and has a little less stretch to it. This wasn't a problem for my husband and I, and it actually fit him very well at the base of his shaft. You might notice that when you "un-stretch" your ring there are stretch marks, but it didn't seem to really harm the ring in the long run.

The material is smooth and there were no imperfections as far as seams, cracks, holes, etc. It does have nubs along the inside to help add stimulation, but this was not easily felt. That's one of my reasons that I think this is better off as someone's first cock ring or for someone on a beginner's level.

My husband wishes it had some texture to it to help keep it in place. When I say texture, he means less of a velvety feel and more of a matte finish to the silicone. I recommend getting an old toothbrush (make sure everyone knows not to use it) and scrub it down well. Fluids and lubricants can get lodged in between the nubs or around the edges of the sex symbols. This could cause possible infection later on down the line if not cleaned correctly. It can also cause a nasty smell, as we have learned in the past.

As far as storing this ring... Do it however you'd like. In a drawer, on your dresser, in a toy box, etc. Leave it wherever you'd like.

IMPORTANT: Cock rings should never be worn for more than 30 minutes at a time. Always take your ring off after half an hour, take a break, and proceed again in 15 minutes if you really wish. Leaving your ring on any longer can cause potential erectile dysfunction, blood clots, and other harmful ailments.
