The Tantus Beginner Cock Ring is great for those looking for their first real quality cock ring but aren't ready for, or are not interested in, the more expensive types. We decided on this because though we had a couple of the vibrating jelly types, they just didn't do the job of helping my husband to maintain or increase his erections.

This C Ring is made of 100% medical-grade silicone, which is nonporous, hypoallergenic and completely body-safe. I have become a huge fan of Tantus and their silicone products. And when I was looking for the right one to buy for my husband the first products I looked at were theirs. All of their products are extremely well made and this ring is no exception. It is very smooth and has no seams whatsoever. This is not made of the shinier tackier type silicone, but more of a velvety smooth type. What makes that great is that it isn't as bad of a lint collector as some silicone toys are. This will stretch a little bit but really not very much, nothing like the jelly type cock rings do. I would say it stretches just enough to help with getting it on and off, but then it stays put and does it's job.

The Tantus C-ring is 3/8 of an inch thick, 3/4 of an inch wide and it's diameter is 2 inches, which can be stretched, maybe about another inch. This makes for a nice dense, sturdy ring. My husband is pretty large and he was able to put it on, though he had a bit of a hard time at first. But he thinks it's because he's new to these types of rings. And he was able to wear it comfortably, but it was definitely nice and snug on him. So I would say this will fit most average to above average sized men.

There are directions and illustrations on the back of the package that show how to put this C-ring on. They recommend that you put a small amount of lubricant around the inside of the ring. First of all, make sure it's water-based lube. Silicone lubes don't play well with silicone toys. And secondly, just use a little bit of lube then wipe your hands off or you'll have a hard time getting the C-ring on. It kept slipping out of my husband's hands at first. After you apply the lube, you're supposed to carefully place the testicles through the ring, one at a time, then slide the penis through. And according to my husband this may take a bit of practice at first. It took him several tries the first time. His bits just would not cooperate.

We were originally looking for a C-ring for my husband because at his age there are times that he has trouble maintaining an erection. And even when he can there are times that it's not as strong of an erection as he would like it to be. So I read on the forums that cock rings can help with this and decided to give this a try. And it definitely did the trick. He was able to have an erection that was strong the entire time he wore it.

For the most part, all that is needed for clean up is washing with soap and water. But if you would like to sterilize this from time to time you can. Just boil it in water for 3 minutes or run it through the dishwasher cycle on the top rack.

Finally I think the Tantus beginner C-ring was a great purchase for us. I doubt he will ever need another one because this works great and will probably outlast both of us.

We don't use it every time we make love but now we have it for when he wants it or needs it. Which makes me extremely happy, because there's nothing worse than a horny housewife who's hubby's body is not cooperating. Believe me!
