I love the Maven because it is made from a safe material (100% elastomer) and because it is a very pretty yet masculine color. In fact, I picked this one out for him. It also does not look like a mouth, a vagina or any other orifice - it is just a fun love tunnel. My partner loves the Maven for the same reasons I do, but also because the elastomer is extremely life like. He says that it is the closest thing to real skin that he has tried and the suction it creates also feels quite realistic.

It was his day off the first time he used it; unfortunately for me, I had to work. This is what he told me once I got home:

"I tried the Maven today. It feels incredible! I like it more than any of the other toys and I'm probably just going to use it from now on. I think I'm even going to tell my Dad to get one."

Very interesting indeed! Upon further questioning I found out a few other neat facts like, how the inside of the tunnel has various bumps and nubs which add stimulation without being unnatural. And that because of the skin like texture, even with lube, you can get a good, solid grip on the body. How that grip allows you to squeeze as much or as little as you so desire. And also how the long, closed end body is almost long enough to fit all the way down his shaft for a feeling of complete penetration.

One thing I have noticed is that the inside does not air dry real easily, so it is best if you can stand it up so the water drains out better. Besides that and the fact that I have still not yet had a chance to try the Maven sleeve with my partner, I think it is a real winner. I probably just haven't seen it in action yet because he has so much fun playing alone with it!

I had the chance to use this on my partner last night and we both really enjoyed it. I placed a drop of lube on the entrance and slid it over him, but quickly realized I needed more than just a drop. I applied a bit more and found that the toy slid very nicely and fluidly with my hand. I did not experience any problems gripping the toy; even with lube on my fingers, I could move it as slowly or as quickly as I wanted. The body of the toy was easy to squeeze and very soft to the touch.

I found the suction that the toy provided to my partner did make things a little noisy, but it certainly was not loud enough to be heard behind closed doors. Because the opening to the Maven is a bit wider than some masturbators, more air seems enter it to make that squishy noise. I did find that to be a tad distracting, but watching my partners reaction to what I was doing to him was more than enough to hold my attention.

It was definitely fun playing with this toy together, however, I still think he prefers to use this one alone. So, for us, I think this toy is a great masturbator, but best used as a solo toy and not so much as one for partnered play. Personally, I prefer the clear ones for that anyway.
