Maven, I Hardly Knew Ye
The Maven provides an amazing masturbation experience at a much smaller cost when compared to items like the Fleshlight or Tenga Flip Cup. It is very durable and will manage to withstand some rough handling, but will not last forever. The Maven is my first step into the world of penis sleeves. Before I purchased it I researched and looked around into quite a few options, and decided on it based upon the fact that it had numerous good reviews, what seemed to be an above average material safety rating for penis sleeves, and it was cheaper than a Fleshlight or Tenga Flip Cup.
When I received it in the mail and got it back to my dorm room to open, I was surprised how large it is. If you haven't checked out the dimensions for this I suggest you do so. It measures in at 7" long, so it should accommodate just about anyone, and it is also rather large in circumference and diameter. Also, the inside is made with large nubs which aid in providing extra stimulation to its user, which is definitely a positive.
However, I have one issue with it in regard to its size. The specifications on the page state it will fit up to 2" in girth, which is definitely true given the stretchy nature of the Elastomer and the size of the hole, but I feel that having an average sized penis almost puts you at slight disadvantage in taking full enjoyment with this toy. While it has amazing suction as is, it feels like there could be considerably more if the hole were slightly smaller, but this is only a minor gripe for an overall amazing toy.
To clean the Maven, run it under some warm water and use a mild soap both on the outside and inside. You can safely turn it inside out to clean without much damage, but do expect some of the nubs on the inside to tear over time. Unfortunately, and I'm not sure why, the outside of mine has gotten slightly sticky to the touch, despite being cleaned regularly, and it makes it a pain if for some reason paper, lint, etc comes in contact with it.
Moreover, and on a side note, I love being able to come into this and then washing it out in the sink as opposed to wiping up whatever my semen lands on with paper towels or washcloths. It just feels a lot less messy and lends itself better if you are in a hurry.
Lastly, for those that might not know, you ABSOLUTELY need lube to make this toy enjoyable. Putting your penis into this without any would likely feel terrible and prove a bad experience. I recommend Wet Light water based lube for this, as it is fairly inexpensive and does a great job.

My experiences with the Maven have been heaven. My orgasms seem much stronger and more powerful when I use this to masturbate, as opposed to my hand. However, you should be realistic in your expectations for this toy, as it is made of a synthetic material and doesn't quite compare to the sensations of a real vagina. Also, be forewarned that using this does create a suction sound with each stroke, so if you are somewhere very quiet, in a room with someone else, or have thin walls, it is possible someone might hear you.
Finally, as a small tip, once you've inserted your penis into the sleeve, squeeze the remaining portion of the Maven at the top to get the air out and give a stronger suction.

I have owned the Maven for over a year now and still absolutely love it. In all but a few situations I easily prefer it over using my hand during masturbation. However, it has definitely worn from its use. Many of the nubs on the inside are torn off completely or are tearing off, the inner end of the Maven has worn from turning it inside out to clean and looks as if it might tear all the way through to the outside if I don't take care. Luckily, it is still rather inexpensive as penis sleeves go and I will buy another as soon as this one gives out.

Cornstarch w/ Maven sleeve?

I just got the Maven sleeve and it seemed to be dusted with cornstarch or something else white when it was in the package. I assumed it was to keep it soft on the outside, but I haven't heard anything about using cornstarch with elastomer. Just soap and water, right?

Just soap and water, right?I have heard about cornstarch being used to dust some products like the fleshlight, I think to reduce the tackyness and keep it soft. A google search shows recommendations for doing so with silicone and cyberskin, but not specifically elastomer (although some industrial type sites suggest using cornstarch on elastomer..)

I was wondering, tho, does anyone know if you can use oil lubes with elastomer?

It's non-toxic (unless you plan on having it for lunch after you use it for masturbation :D ), large enough, very soft and feels great!

I use this one all the time.. the whole sleeve is really soft and squishy, so if you want it tighter, you can just squeeze it. The nubs on the inside feel great, and a little bit of lube really makes it an experience. Easy to clean up, too!

I would dust with cornstarch after it is completely dry. These elastometer sleeves are kind of sticky--more to itself than to humans!
