They are made of nylon and spandex so a machine wash in okay. The shorts come in four sizes; small, medium, large, and extra large. I ordered him a large because his waist is a size 32 and according to him they fit wonderfully. I do believe the seams and sewing on them are very strong as our washing machine is old and it has not torn or ripped a seam.

He, to this day, asks me if his shorts are clean. Specifically these shorts because he loves the feel and comfort they provide. The stitching still holds strong as ever.
