Use

The intended purpose of the Stamina Training Unit from Fleshlight is to help you (or your guy) last longer in the sack. That doesn't mean that it has to be used alone, or even to try and make you last longer. It can be a fun foreplay tool before sex, or just as a regular masturbator that offers a whole lot of stimulation.

Material / Texture

The sleeve of the STU is Superskin. It's got a wonderfully soft feel to it if you keep it powdered, and a more sticky drag filled feeling if you don't. It feels very close to real skin, especially if you warm it up. There's a bit of a scent to it, and it will retain the scent of flavored lubes too if you use those.

The outer case is made of plastic.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

This thing is huge. There is no way you'd be able to pass it off as a flashlight, but I don't think that's really going to bother anybody who's seriously considering a Fleshlight. It also might not be worth noting, but in the picture the case is black, however the one we got is gold.

The overall length is about 10". The smaller base that you would unscrew to help clean it or to adjust the pressure while you're using it is about 2 1/4" across, and the cap that you'd remove to get at the mostly realistic vagina is about 3 1/2" across. It also weighs about a pound and a half, which some might find to make it a bit heavy after a while. The general size, shape, and weight of this make it something that's not the easiest to travel with and not the easiest to hide.

The big key to the design of this one is the interior texture. The Superskin sleeve features hundreds of little nubs designed to stimulate every part of your penis that it can reach. You start getting to the nubs a few inches down the shaft, and they span the rest of the shaft.

Functions / Performance / Controls

It's pretty easy to use, although a bit cumbersome if you're used to something smaller. Unscrew the cap, lube up yourself and the hole, insert, and fornicate. The base does unscrew to allow you to change the amount of pressure and suction while you're going at it. You can also completely remove it to aid in cleaning or add more lube from the bottom and have it drip down.

My husband recommends using a thicker lube with this, or any Fleshlight, based purely off of his experience with this and speculation. If he was on his back with the opening facing down, it wasn't as big of a deal, but he did have problems with runnier lubes either dripping to the wrong end or just soaking into the material/his skin.

There is a bit of a noise to it, but it's not that bad. In a quiet room, it'll be the only thing you can focus on hearing, but you can't hear it through a door or over a shower. The shower is one of his favorite places to use this because even though he needs more lube overall, cleaning is a breeze since he can take care of it all in one place.

Care and Maintenance

Superskin can be a bit of a pain to take care of. I'll start off by letting you know that you're only supposed to use a water based lube with it. You can experiment with other lubes, but do it with a patch test on the surface of the vagina rather than all down the tube. Next is the cleaning, which can be a huge pain in the butt. Attempting to turn the sleeve inside out will end up tearing it over time and making it unusable. They also recommend that you not use soap at all, although some people have used it with no problems. We at this point haven't used any soap and so far it's holding up well. A thorough soaking and rinse out is about all you can do. Once you're done with that, you'll need to let it dry completely before putting it away. You can do this by removing the base and standing the case straight up on something like a paper towel to catch dripping water, and then stand the sleeve in the case so that the ribs just under the head of the vagina are holding the sleeve up. We normally leave ours out overnight before powdering and putting away. The powdering helps to keep the texture nice and smooth. At this point, we haven't done anything other than just the face of the vagina though. Make sure to use corn starch and not talc, as the corn starch is more body safe.

You do want to make absolutely sure that your sleeve is as dry as it possibly can be before putting it away. In addition to sometimes keeping the scent of flavored lubes (or scented soaps I'd imagine), it may also start to take on other scents as well. Things like mildew, which will grow if your Fleshlight is put away damp. Ours has taken on the mildewy scent from time to time, but we've found that a good thorough cleaning and leaving it out for a few days seems to help with it.

Packaging

I remember that it came in a giant can. One big enough to hold the whole Fleshlight along with a sample of ID Glide, and a few small pamphlets. Unfortunately, it's disappeared in the months since we bought it so I can't get much more specific than it came with stuff, and said "Fleshlight" so it wasn't very discreet.

Personal comments

We've noticed over time that the edges have started to get a bit darker. When we first got the Fleshlight everything was a really bright pink, and now the opening is a few shades darker than the inside, and the outer edges are a fairly dark pink.

Experience

This is one of two sleeves that my husband has, and always the one he reaches for first. It was a Valentine's Day present earlier this year, and has gone through quite a bit of abuse since then. I didn't buy it with the intention of trying to make him last longer, but it seems to have done that a bit anyway, and I'm certainly not complaining about it.

His opinion on it is that it does feel really good, but doesn't quite compare to the real thing.

      It's really not any trouble at all. If you have access to a sink with running water for a minute, you have everything you need to clean it. Isopropyl alcohol and corn starch seem to be additional optional measures that may keep it in better shape over the long run, but are probably not necessary every time.
