Glow in the dark glow tush - masturbator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by B8trDude

The first thing I noticed when I opened the Glow Tush was the smell (more on that later) and the pale green “cool cucumber” color of the masturbator. Although the smell is a bit overpowering, this is my first glow-in-the-dark masturbator and I couldn’t wait to try it out. Before it can be used in the dark, it needs to be left out in a light source - florescent lights seem to work the best. As the appearance is similar to that of many other masturbators - just a tube with a hole running through it - I thrust a finger into the stroker to get a sense of what the inner texture feels like. I was surprised to discover that this one feels different than other masturbators I’ve used – in a good way! Turning it inside out, the Glow Tush reveals that it has approximately 10 very pronounced ridges that are evenly spaced throughout the inside of the masturbator. As it is hollow on the inside, with holes at each end, it’s possible to pound it from either side and, due to the eveness of the texture throughout, you’ll get a similar experience not matter which end you insert your penis into. It is designed so that one end looks a bit like an ass but either end works.

Being that this is a glow-in-the-dark stroker, I wanted to first use it at night with the lights out. The Glow Tush gives off a faint green glow and I wondered what would happen once I stuck my dick in it – I kind of hoped that I could see my dick inside. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case but that really didn’t matter. After lubing up, I stuck my meat into the masturbator and noticed that it felt good. In fact, it felt VERY good – much better than I had anticipated! As I slowly worked it up and down my pole, I quickly transcended into penis bliss. One thing that surprised me was the sound that it makes during use – many masturbators make a slurpy/squishy sound but the Glow Tush is different – is almost sounds like a wood xylophone as the ridges slide against over your penis.

It’s important to mention that lube is needed to get started with this stroker, especially since the main entrance is a bit small and a little tight. Once you get going, too much lube will quickly reduce the sensations. If you’re a big leaker (I am), that only makes things worse. If you plan on spending some time with this, use very little lube or have something nearby to wipe it down. Of course, if you want a quicky, don’t bother and just enjoy!

Both the Cal Exotics and EF web sites state that the Glow Tush is made from TPR. The manufacturer also refers to the material as “Ultra Pure Skin”. I immediately noticed how similar it smells to Doc Johnson products as it has exactly the same, sickening sweet smell (which some have described as “strawberry shower curtain”). The Doc Johnson products are made from UR3 and, it is possible that Cal Exotics has just given the material a slightly different name. I suspect that Cal Exotics and Doc Johnson may really be using the same manufacturer for some of their masturbators. The problem with UR3 is that the smell never goes away. The smell is related to the Sil-A-Gel, an antibacterial additive to the UR3. More than likely, Cal Exotics uses Sil-A-Gel too. I hope that’s not the case as the smell gets very old, very quickly.

Overall, the Glow Tush is soft and squishy although, as I described above, the texture is fantastic. In many ways, it feels like the texture ripples as it moves over my shaft. Because it is soft, it’s possible to adjust the amount of pressure during use (by squeezing it in your fist) to suit the amount of time you want to play. The texture is so good that you can get off quickly or you can ease up and just enjoy it.

The Glow Tush is well-designed to fit into most hands and should make most penises very happy. At 5.75” in length and weighing in at slightly more than half a pound, it will accommodate most men. As the interior texture is evenly spaced and this is an open-ended mastubator, it will easily slide up and down the biggest penis and should provide very consistent performance no matter what your size. Due to its relative compactness, this stroker works well for solo-play and with a partner. Inserting your dick is difficult without some lube and the interior is a bit tight at first. If you want an extra tight fit, the Glow Tush can be stretched over your dick but you won’t be able to really stroke without some lube. Too much lube, however, takes away a lot of the sensations so go easy on it.

This masturbator requires no instructions – once your cock is inserted, pressure can be increased or decreased by the grip you have on it. The texture is even throughout which allows all parts of your penis enjoy it and, because this is a relatively short masturbator, you can slide it up and down over just the right spots. The Glow Tush is rather soft which means that it can be squished down over your dick so that even smallest guys should be able to pop out of the end. It can also be stretched to make it feel tighter.

Both TPR and UR3 (if that’s what it’s really made from) are porous and only water-based lubes should be used; silicone lubes can cause damage. It’s very important to clean it well with antibacterial soap and warm water and, because it is porous, should not be shared with others.

One problem with this and many similar masturbators, is that it can get very sticky after cleaning and is a dust magnet. After it has been washed and is completely dry, a light dusting of cornstarch is very useful in preventing it from attracting anything that's not tied down.

The Glow Tush comes in a cardboard box that is not discreet – it’s clear what the intended use is. One side of the box mentions that it is a “life-like masturbator”, “and “for maximum 'Glow' expose to any light source”. Even though the container states that it is allegedly “maintenance-free”, I would strongly recommend that you clean it after every use! (In other words, it really isn’t “maintenance free”.) Besides, given that the Glow Tush is already "cool cucumber green", failure to wash it may allow things to grow - and then it might look more like a Chia Pet and not a masturbator. (Hmmmm . . . I wonder what kind of interior texture a Chia masturbator might have?)

I have recently reviewed several Japanese masturbators so I was pleased to see that Cal Exotics proudly proclaims that this stroker was “Made in the USA!” It is also nice to be able to read every word on the box. If you have someplace safe - where curious eyes might not be tempted to wonder what's in it - you can use the box to store it. Due to the smell, I would strongly recommend that it be kept it in a plastic bag after it has been washed and fully dried; otherwise, you’ll have to deal with the smell that seems to permeate everything.

I really like the Glow Tush – in fact, it feels REALLY great. As I’ve mentioned, watch the amount of lube you use and be prepared to wipe it down during use, especially if you are a leaker. The sounds are very interesting – they’re not excessively loud but this masturbator does make an interesting “woody” noise as it’s sliding up and down your woody. Personally I think the sounds are kind of funny and are, in a strange way, somewhat musical. I also like the fact that this masturbator glows – it’s great to use in the dark. Given the multi-sensory nature of this stroker (visual, tactile, auditory, and [unfortunately] the SMELL), it would be a very useful tool for those wishing to give their penis “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”. (Hmmmm. . . will Mozart make your penis smarter?) This masturbator might be great to take on a camping trip, especially for those lonely moonless nights. If it weren't for the smell, I might have given it five stars. May I suggest that future products made from the same material use "eau du pheromone" instead of "overdose of glucose"? I mean, the smell is so strong that it would probably be safer for most men to masturbate in a room decorated in "Hello Kitty", "Strawberry Shortcake", while gorging on cotton candy and watching Bambi for hours on end than to be exposed to the smell of this masturbator for any length of time. Fortunately, my penis can't smell so I'm going to give the Glow Tush four stars.
