When it comes to male masturbation toys, there are only two names - Fleshlight and Tenga. Fleshlight have centered the market in the plump, plush, almost-as-good-as-the-real-thing experience, while Tenga excel at the easy-to-maintain, easy-to-use sex toy practicality.

Their Fliphole is a triumph of design - a sex sleeve that 'unfolds' to aid in cleaning and lubrication. It's astonishingly easier to maintain than a Fleshlight even if it arguably doesn't feel as good.

The Tenga Flip Lite White is a new entry to their Fliphole line - a cut down version that's more streamlined in size and function. Based on the same concept - a sleeve that unfolds for lubrication and cleaning - it's significantly smaller and sleeker - but is that necessarily a good thing?

The lining of the Flip Lite is made of TPR silicone, which gives a reasonably safe material to use with a reasonably good texture to it. It's soft and fleshy, but can also be cleaned with soap and water afterward. The layout of the design - encased in a hard plastic shell - makes it perfect for the beginner.

The flip lite isn't just sleeker - it's also smaller. Dramatically so. When they've trimmed the entire profile of the toy down, they also trimmed the size of the... erm... 'insert-able' bit and that caused a problem. I didn't fit.

Even with lube and love, my hard-on simply didn't fit into the tight, inviting crevice of the Tenga Flip Lite. Admittedly, I've been told I'm on the larger side when it comes to penis size, but given how good the Tenga Flip Hole 'regular' was, I was astonished to find this toy virtually unusable because of my girth.

That being said, if you're on the average or small size, it presumably works just like a regular Flip Hole - which is very, very well.

A triumph of design, the Flip Light has abandoned the Flip Hole's three 'buttons' for a single button that controls the vacuum - and therefore 'tightness' - of penetration. If you actually fit inside the tight TRP silicone sleeve (I didn't) it's a great way to get that glorious sucking 'tightness' that's reminiscent of a good blowjob.

Tenga have always excelled by having products that are easy to maintain. The original Tenga Flip Hole was a marvel that way - it flipped open and you could clean or lube it ready for action. In that respect - despite not quite matching the Fleshlight in terms of sensation - it was always a much more practical sex toy to own.

The Flip Lite has all of those qualities, meaning that if it actually fits you it's a very easy-to-maintain toy. Smaller and sleeker than the original Flip Hole, it's overall a much better product IF it actually fits you.

The Flip Lite comes in a cool, clear perspex box with a sachet of lube. Generally, though, it's 'self contained.' The lid slides off and attaches to the other end to make the 'usable' portion, while you can seal the whole unit by using the lid on the other end. It really is a triumph of design that way, and highly convenient for a bed, bathroom or drawer.

Yep, I was astonished to discover that I simply COULD NOT FIT. My hard on was too wide to even penetrate the tip, essentially making this cleverly-designed toy useless.
