Ring set discontinued
by Sinclair Intimacy Institute

Oooooo...Ohhhhh...Oh No...

The Sinclair Oh Rings (Vibrating Love Ring Trio) looks great. The set contains 3 cock rings and 1 vibrating bullet but two of the four items broke during the early part of their first use. Instead of giving me a hard time, it was a flaccid experience. Fortunately, I just didn’t give a duck and was able to have good time making a stupid video with the broken bullet and one of the surviving cock rings. At least I was able to have some fun!

Use

While I'm fairly new to using cock rings, I was impressed with the way this set of Sinclair Oh Rings looked: all three are rather large with the biggest nearly filling the palm of my hand. Unlike previous cock rings I've used, some of which broke right away, these appeared to be extra durable due to their size and the fact that they are so thick: surely, this set would get a lot of good use. Another bonus is that they are very stretchy and look very comfortable.

Beauty, however, turned out to be only skin deep as the problems began immediately. While examining the vibrating bullet that comes with the set, I couldn’t get it to turn on until I discovered that the cap on one end needs to be unscrewed and the protective covering between the batteries and push button switch is removed: I thought the bullet was defective until I realized what needed to be done. There are no instructions or other indications that the bullet needs to be setup for its first use. Once taken care of, the bullet did begin to vibrate but not very strongly. Pressing the button seemed to change speeds (there are three) but I could not distinguish much of a difference between them.

With bullet mystery solved, I began to explore the three cock rings: the largest looks like a donut, the middle one is a bit smaller and is the only ring that will hold the vibrating bullet, and the smallest is designed to go around just the base of the penis and has an appendage that is apparently designed to stimulate the clitoris when used during intercourse. As I was using these for solo-play, I can’t comment on the effectiveness of the smaller ring when used with others.

Because this was my first experience with the Sinclair Oh Rings, I wanted to put them through several tests to see how much of a thrill I could get: I started with the middle sized ring as that’s the only one that can use the vibrator. I lubed it up and started to experiment with positioning it around my manhood. I was instantly pleased with how stretchy the cock ring was and how comfortable it was around my cock and balls... this was going to be good! Before getting down to the real task at hand (or should I say in my hand), I tried to locate the best spot for the vibrator: I assumed that it wouldn't feel too exciting on top of my shaft (it didn’t), I then tried the two positions under my nuts. Due to the construction of the cock ring, the bullet faces a different direction (up or down) depending upon how the ring is worn.

Disaster struck immediately - I didn’t even get to first base with my dick before the cock ring broke! That’s right, it broke and I hadn’t even started to play with myself. What a downer (in more ways than one)! Just the same, there were two rings left, not to mention the vibrating bullet – surely, I could still have some fun. While neither of the other rings broke, they also aren't constructed to hold the bullet: the smaller of the two cock rings fits nicely on my shaft but has a funny little “nose” thing that doesn’t have much use during solo-play. The large donut ring fits very nicely around my balls and cock. Both rings are very comfortable. Given that the bullet was now without a home, I tried to find a creative way to use it but didn't get much of a chance. Sadly, another catastrophe occurred - the vibrator died after just a few minutes. I now knew that I was having a bad pubic hair day. At this point, I don’t know if the bullet passed away because the batteries died or if it was simply defective. It doesn’t really matter – a broken cock ring and a non-vibrating vibrator all within the first minutes of their maiden voyage? Even the Titanic lasted longer!

Material / Texture

The Sinclair Oh Rings are made from clear Cyberskin (a combination of PVC and silicone), an extremely porous material that feels like real skin. Right out of the box it has a slight rubbery smell but that seems to disappear when washed. They are also phthalates free/latex free, substances that can cause many health problems. Care must be taken to clean only with warm water or anti-bacterial soap and should not be shared with others as the porousness makes it easy for germs and bacteria to hide. When dry, they can be lightly dusted with cornstarch and stored in a Ziploc bag.

Each of the Oh Rings is textured with nubs and feel really great to squish with your hands, your dick, or other body parts. Wearing these cock rings is also very comfortable but, of course, they’re also useless if they break.

It is not clear what the bullet vibrator is made from – it appears to be a rubbery-type of plastic and contains two AG-5 batteries. Extra batteries are not included but, considering my experience, they should have been.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The cock rings are on the thick side and appear to be heavy duty. All three sizes fit nicely around my love muscle, my balls, or both. The smallest is designed to go just around the base of the penis, while the middle and large ones both fit around the entire package. Sinclair suggests that it is possible to use more than one at a time. Although the middle sized cock ring broke right away, all three sizes are very comfortable. It is not difficult to get any of them on or off. Just remember that if they break, they surely won’t help you get off! (Isn't that the whole point in the first place?) I suspect that these will fit comfortably on most men, regardless of size.

It is also notable that the design of each cock ring is different: the largest is shaped like a donut, the middle one has a similar shape except it also has a place to hold the vibrating bullet, and the smallest one has an extra appendage that is probably intended to stimulate your woman. The more I look at it, however, the more it reminds me of a rubber ducky – watch the video and you’ll see what I mean.

Packaging

I've got to admit, I was really impressed with the packaging – the box is quite large, discrete, and tastefully designed. Sitting on a shelf with other items, it is unlikely that most people would realize that it contains three cock rings and a vibrator although looking at it closely reveals what is packed inside.

The outside of the box supplies a far amount of information about the cock rings and the vibrating bullet: it even provides cleaning instructions and information on the type of lubricants to use (water-based only). One concern is that the font is very small and difficult to read. The inside of the box is also nicely done: each cock ring and the bullet is contained within a clear plastic container although it is questionable that this will be useful for storage.

Equally impressive is the small information sheet enclosed inside the box. From what I’ve seen and read, it is unusual to find instructions when buying cock rings but the fact that they are included is much appreciated. Directions on the proper use of cock rings are given, along with precautions and warnings which state that cock rings should not be worn for an extended period (no more than 30 minutes at a time). Unfortunately, these instructions are also printed with an extremely small font and are very difficult to read.

Experience

My initial impression of the Sinclair Select Oh Rings was that they were of high quality, the packaging is very professional, detailed instructions on use and care were included (with the exception that the preparation of the bullet was left out), and they appear to be durable. Unfortunately, one can’t judge a book by its cover and the fact the pièce de résistance – the one cock ring designed to hold the vibrator and the bullet itself both broke at the onset of their first use was very disappointing. At least it was fun making the video!
    • Disappointing
    • Breaks easily
Follow-up commentary
My opinion has changed very little since my my original assessment of the Sinclair Select Oh Rings other than I think even less of them now . While I certainly couldn't repair the two broken cock rings or the dead bullet vibrator, the remaining rubber ducky-like cock ring still works, although I almost never use it. Considering I've now used toys with bullets from other manufactures that have worked much better than the one that came with this set, it's fair to say that I now think even less of this product.

I sure hate it when a cock ring breaks, did you give it a proper burial? I know a way to cremate it.

LOL well then, I'm glad my partner didn't choose these to review. I was kind of bummed when he chose something else, but not anymore!

LOL! Your entire review was hilarious, but I just love this line: "I now knew that I was having a bad pubic hair day." I like your attitude though in seeing the humor and making the best of a sorry experience!
May your next cock ring be the ring of your dreams. Upwards (in more ways than one) and onwards!
    Thanks for the fantastic review.

  • Contributor: B8trDude
Thanks, Jul!a and BigDaddy! Yeah, they broke - now just down to one (of three) cock rings left - the little ducky, no less. Once that breaks (and I'm not using it much), I'll give a follow-up review.
