Pleasure Comes Egg-Shaped

The Tenga Egg is very cool product and worth a try. It's compact and discreet, perfect for those who travel. However, aside from its neat design, it's really just a simple masturbator.

Use

The Tenga Egg is a very unique male masturbator. It's a stretchy silicone sleeve that fits over the head of the penis and can be twisted around or extended downwards with your hand. The softness and plush feel of the material is designed stimulate the user to an orgasm, ejaculating inside of it.

Due to its compact design it can be used just about anywhere where you have a little privacy - bedroom, bathroom, hotel room, or even an airplane bathroom (just kidding, sort of, it's probably been done). Travelers will like its convenience and portability.
    • Travel friendly

Material / Texture

It is made of silicone, the safest material out there. The Tenga Egg is very soft and pliable. It may look small, but it can be stretched several inches. My Tenga Egg was the wavy model and had wavy ridges on the inside. These are very noticeable when the ridges are moving up and down between the head and the shaft of the penis.
    • Flexible
    • No odor
    • Textured interior

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

I think the design is ingenious. If you weren't already familiar with the toy and saw it for the first time, you'd be hard-pressed to guess its use. It's small, white, and non-descript. It doesn't resemble anything close to standard masturbation sleeve.

The Tenga Egg will fit any male user. However, some users may not be able to stretch the material over the entire length of the penis. And, it's probably not a good idea to stretch it too much because of the thinness of the silicone. I think the Tenga Egg works best when stimulating only the upper third of the penis.
    • Discreet look/design
    • Futuristic

Functions / Performance / Controls

Performance is really up to the user and the kind of masturbation technique they use. The Tenga Egg can be moved up and down the shaft using a light or strong grip with your hand. Or, it can be twisted around the head of the penis. I tried using two hands but the product is really too small for that to be effective.

It shouldn't take a user long to reach orgasm with the Tenga Egg. It provides maximum stimulation when applied.
    • Easy to use
    • Very stimulating

Care and Maintenance

Clean-up is a breeze. After use, all the ejaculate is contained in the inside of the Tenga Egg and can be disposed of easily. Wash it in soap and water, then let it air-dry.

The Tenga Egg can be probably be used multiple times. However, the silicone is thin and there's always a danger of tearing. I'll report back on the number of uses I was able to get from this product.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Tenga Egg comes sealed in a plastic wrapper with no other packing material around it. There's a perforated seam that is can be used to remove the wrapper and after it's discarded you are left with a plain, white egg-shaped container. It is approximately the size of a real egg. There are no markings to indicate what is inside it making it very discreet.

The container is opened at the middle by simply pulling it apart. Inside is the Tenga Egg sleeve, and inside of it there is hard plastic open-ended tube that contains a packet of lubrication. This product is from Japan and most the markings on the lube packet are in Japanese.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage

Personal comments

I was attracted to this product by its simple design and was curious to see how well it performed. I wanted to know if it lived up to the hype of its mostly favorable reviews, which it did, to some extent. While the material does feel really nice, I don't think there is enough a difference between it and manual masturbation that would cause me to purchase more. And it doesn't provide the fantasy element that something like a Fleshlight sleeve would.

Experience

First Time Use:
When I opened the egg container revealing the Tenga Egg, it wasn't sealed in anything else, so the first thing I did was rinse it with some warm water. With my penis already erect, I opened the packet and poured about half of into its opening. Then, I placed it on the head of my penis. The lube and the soft texture of the Tenga Egg felt really good. I stretched it down and was surprised about its elasticity. It almost reached the base of my penis. However, when I did this the material at the top of the Egg thinned out. It looked like the head of my penis was going to break through. I didn't really know the best way to use it, so I simply stroked up and down, but not too hard. I didn't want to break it on my first try. The Tenga Egg I have has wavy textures which provided extra stimulation. That, combined with the silky softness of the material, felt incredible on my penis and I had no trouble having an orgasm.

Second Time Use:
Before using the Tenga Egg the second time I placed it in a small bowl of hot water. While waiting for it to warm up, I got myself ready to use it. It works much better if you already have an erection. When I was ready, I removed the Tenga Egg from the water, shook off the excess water, and added lube to the inside. I placed over my penis and tested whether or not the hot water made a difference. I can't honestly say it did. Perhaps the silicone is too thin to hold heat well. This time I didn't immediately stretch it down and paid more attention to the head of my penis, twisting the Tenga Egg around, back and forth. Then I tried using two hands. I placed one hand at the top, trying to hold in place, while using my other hand to move it up and down my shaft. This didn't really work because the sleeve is too small to get a good grip with two hands at the same time. I went back to the twist method and when my orgasm arrived, the twisting-only action provided a unique experience.
Follow-up commentary
I tried the Tenga one more time, but it really doesn't do much for me. It was still intact after three uses, but I knew I wouldn't be using it again, so I threw it away. It's a neat product and worth a try, but I won't be buying another one.

We like our Tenga Eggs; it's a cute little egg. I love how portable it is. We broke ours on the first use.

It's a shame these things are disposable. I'd really like to get one for my SO, but I want something that will survive more than 2 or 3 uses.

  • Anyone have this product? Does it work well?
    • What does everyone who has it think? Do you know anyone with it?

whoops. meant to put this under a different topic!
    • From what I've seen, the general consensus is that the Tenga Eggs are pretty nice for the price (rhyme not intended, haha!). A lot of people recommend them to guys as first-time strokers, since they're cheap and disposable.

Before asking questions like this in the forum, though, read a few of the reviews. I find that it's usually helpful to read at least one from someone who really liked it and one from someone who didn't, so you can get an idea from both sides. :)

  • tenga+strap-on?
    • I don't know why, but I keep fantasizing about jerking off my strap-on/hard pack cock with a tenga egg. I feel kinda ridiculous about it but WHY NOT POST IT ON HERE (oh god my tumblr is showing)

I know some of y'all have talked about getting head on your strap-on...but this just seems a little weird. I have had fun jerking off my strap-on cock every once and a while too..

Has anybody had similar ideas/experiences? It's kinda the psychological aspect, like with getting head, I guess?

(And so it wouldn't be a waste, I'd give it to my partner to use after I've had my fun, seeing as I'm not gonna cum in it...)
    • I wouldn't mind it, I'd probably like it more if my partner was the one playing with it for me though haha.
    • Actually I have a couple different Feeldoes, and I have thought about using our Egg on it as well. Then I reember there are better ways to get an orgasm from my Feeldoe, but eventually the need to try it will override my need for a quicker orgasm. I'll report back once I try it ;)

  • Fleshlight
    • How does it compare to the fleshlight feeling?
    • Alan says there's no comparison; Tenga egg is more like an enhanced hand job, but the right Fleshlight is like "gettin some strange" (his words, not mine.. LOL)

i like fleshlight feeling better, but fleshlight is way too big for travel. So if you are gone for a trip, tenga egg is a way to go!

  • Tenga Eggs and Foreskin?
    • So I'm curious because I'd love to get my boyfriend one of these. He is not circumcised, meaning he has his foreskin (thank goodness :D ) but that makes we wonder how well these would work for him. See the reason I ask is because his foreskin occasionally will get caught or pinched in a condom, and I know those are significantly tighter, but I'd hate to buy him something that ends up being uncomfortable.

Any uncut guys have experience with these toys and can give me some insight?
    • I hate bumping my own posts but I'm looking for an answer ASAP... I'd like to place my order for other things tonight, and it'd be great to tack this onto the order rather than buying it separately and paying separate shipping.
    • Sorry I'm late.

My Master is also uncut and I got him a couple of Tenga eggs over the past few months. He says they're really enjoyable and they don't hurt. I do rec that your boyfriend uses lube with it, though.

  • Where have all the Tenga Eggs gone?
    • I'm not sure if I keep missing when these come back in stock and they just get bought up really fast or if they just aren't ordering any more. But My partner adores these eggs and would really like to try the Sparkle or Twinkle. However I've never seen them available. Anyone know what is going on with this?
    • I believe that the Tenga Sparkle and Twinkle were 2010 seasonal limited edition, so EF may not be able to get them in stock again at all. Perhaps you can file a support ticket, though, and inquire as to whether or not they will ever return to stock.

:( I have been wondering why those are always out of stock myself. I really want to get one of both Twinkle and Sparkle for my SO, but I have yet to see them stocked myself.

  • Tenga Egg Material
    • I know EF has the eggs listed as being silicone but I wondered if anyone has actually flame tested one of these cute little guys.

Reason I ask is because I went searching the tenga website when someone (and I cannot for the life of me remember who) wrote a review and were unsure of the egg lotion being water or silicone based.

When I stumbled onto the tenga canada site and saw the specs for the egg it said there they are actually made of Elastomer.

So has anyone taken science into their own hands about these little suckers?
    • Hmmm very interesting indeed...

We've never used one of the eggs, but I'm very interested in knowing the answer to this. Not that it would make a super huge difference simply because they're so cheap and disposable.. I wouldn't mind if it was Elastomer as opposed to silicone. I'm still gonna get one :)
    • Oh for sure. It just would make a whole lot more sense right. Like why it is so disposable, why it does not seem to matter what lube you use.

  • Single use?
    • I'm wondering exactly why these are only single-use. I've read most of the reviews, but still do not understand exactly why (I would have commented, I just wanted to make a general discussion). Since it's silicone, shouldn't it be..? Or is it a really low-grade or soft silicone or something?

      Thank you!

      Hi Sir!

We have one and we've only used it once so far, but the top of the egg appears to be thinning, like it will break with one or two more uses. I think it is the grade of silicone, however, I really do think they can last more than one use. Many people I know who use them get at least a few uses out of them.
    • Glad someone posted on these because I'm infinitely curious about them. I hope someone does a video because I still can't get a good idea of how these work just by looking at/reading about them.
