I would recommend using this masturbator in a private setting, as it may get quite loud during a session (the sucking sounds are similar to getting a really loud blow job).

The Si-x Type R is made from TPE (also known as TPR). There is a slight chemical smell to it, but it is not overly offensive or strong. This has reduced slightly since being removed from the packaging. I could not detect any taste. This particular toy has a very soft, almost spongy quality, which feels great, and it's also extremely stretchy and flexible. The softness of the toy definitely enhances the sensation, as it can be easily squeezed in different areas while in use. The TPE has a sticky quality to it, so storing it in a silk, satin, or plastic bag is recommended to keep it from attracting dust, hair and debris. The material is compatible with both water and silicone lubricants, but not with oil-based lubes.

The sleeve comes enclosed in a small plastic bag within an indigo colored cardboard package with white and yellow printing on it. The plastic bag is not recyclable, but the cardboard box is. The box is not the most discreet, but there are no naked images on it like other Toy's Heart packages, so it's pretty low key, considering. You can't tell it has anything to do with sex unless you examine it closely. There is a lot of Japanese text printed on the packaging, but there is some English (or engrish) translation which says it's "Sexual Intercourse-X" and some descriptive text that mentions "olgazm" a few times. It's definitely good for a laugh. There are also printed images of the toy that show how the interior looks. There is also an indication showing that the toy is soft.

The packaging could be used for storage, but since the box can prove to be bulky and take up too much space in one's toy box/drawer, I would recommend storing it in its own bag. The bag in which it comes is not really suitable for storage on its own, for it cannot be sealed against debris.

A small sample of water-based lube is included in the packaging, which is a nice little bonus. I find the lubes included with the Toy's Heart products work perfectly with them, and I enjoy getting and using them every time I receive one of their products.
