Introduction

We should be delighted that masturbation sleeves have, with their broader acceptance, become available in a huge range of design, size, construction and price. Among the designs are those that attempt to provide the most realistic visual and tactile simulation of sex. Others are very effective while remaining simple and inexpensive. Most sleeves simulate vaginas, anuses, mouths, and this is entirely reasonable and unsurprising. Many people find that realistically simulated genitals enhance their enjoyment of their toys. I have, however, always been unsettled by the lips, tongues and mouths on the toys sold to simulate oral sex. There is something of the "uncanny valley" about these fixed and speechless mouths that puts me off. It might be that I expect a vulva to be somewhat less animate than a mouth. In any case, I wanted a toy with the good kind of "suck", but without the incompletely-anthropomorphic weirdness. Yeah, I'm high-maintenance.

The Doc Johnson Super Sucker 2.0 immediately got my attention for several reasons. First, it is expressly designed to suck. Its appearance is not representative of a mouth. It is made of the fantastic UR3 material. Lastly,it is inexpensive.

What It Is

The Super Sucker 2.0 is made of UR3 (Ultra-Realistic 3.0), a composition of PVC (polyvinyl chloride)and silicone. UR3 is very elastic, yet soft to the touch. UR3 also holds warmth well. UR3 is porous, and has to be carefully cleaned after use and dried before storage. Since it is a combination of plastic and silicone, petroleuom, oil and silicone based lubricants will damage UR3, and the manufacturer reccomends only water based lubes. The inherent porosity of UR3, like most other soft materials, makes it impossible to reliably disenfect them. Sharing these toys is not safe. Instead, give somebody one as gift of their very own. That makes people happy.

The Super Sucker 2 is a closed tube of transparent UR3. the opening at the front of the toy is quite narrow at about a quarter of an inch wide. Seemingly impossibly small, this opening has repeatedly stretched to accommodate my, "shall-we-simply-say-generous" width without tearing or permanently yielding. UR3 is remarkably tough and elastic stuff. The closed hole is about four inches deep and, given the elasticity of UR3, it can stretch to at least 6 inches in length, upon "bottoming out". The inner surface of the canal is about half an inch wide and is quite aggressively ribbed. I will discuss those ribs forthwith. At the front of the sleeve, running perpendicular to the opening for your manly bit, is an aperture for a vibrating bullet. The bullet can be pressed in to fit snugly enough to stay in place through messy and vigorous play. The metal-finished plastic vibrating bullet vibrates, as advertised. It has seven different modes of vibration, some constant, some intermittent and some smoothly changing in intensity. The bullet is powered by three LR44 "button" cells and these are accessed by a threaded joint. This joint is effectively sealed by a silicone o-ring, and after several washings including total immersion, neither the threaded joint nor the rubber switch showed any signs of leaks. The chrome-like finish did begin to peel, though this appears to be only a cosmetic issue.

In Play

The typical masturbation sleeve is a soft polymer tube, open at both ends. With this construction, the feel of the sleeve is dictated by the size, and texture of the hole, and the elasticity of the material. If we close the end, then when we push our penis in, we feel resistance because we are stretching the material. As we withdraw, we feel "suction" as the air displaced by our penis cannot re-enter the sleeve. This lower-than-atmospheric pressure is what a physicist would call "suck". This makes the toy, in this case our Super Sucker 2, cling closely to the skin of our penis, causing a squeezing feeling. And here is both good and bad. The UR3 material and the tight opening of the canal created a tight seal around the shaft of my penis, and as intended, the inside surface of the Super Sucker 2 was presses tightly against the shaft and tip of my penis as I withdrew. This effect was even stronger after I deliberately squeezed the air out of the inside of the toy. This did make some rather "organic" sounds.

Once the pressure was really sucking (or squeezing, depending on your degree of physics pedantry), I discovered several things. First, the flared ends of the Super Sucker 2 make it easy to stroke, even if your hand is covered in lube. The closed end of the toy keeps all the involved fluids well contained. The vibrating bullet does indeed transmit vibrations through the lower lip of the toy to the front of your scrotum, and strongly too. In use, my testicles felt much more vibration than the base of my penis. I concluded, quickly, that there is an upper limit to how much I want my testicles shaken, and it is low. I have not used the vibrating bullet since. Lastly, once pressed firmly against the sides an tip of my penis, the large ridges on the inside of the Super Sucker 2 are very much evident. In fact, phrases like "snow tire" and "washboard" came to mind as the glans of my penis was driven across the prominent ridges. Trying different lubes was little help. With Probe Thick and Rich, Liquid Silk and Astroglide, the force of the ridges across the delicate skin around the tip of my penis was so great, that I consistently had to stop stroking at orgasm, if not before. I am certain that my physiology (width and sensitivity) exacerbated these issues, though I suspect most men would experience them to some degree.

In Summation

The Super Stroker 2 does the things it is designed to do. The suction of closed sleeve and tight fit of the elastic UR3 and create a strong "squeezing" around the penis in use. The large ribs then impart a very intense tactile sensation. The vibrating bullet too, is well placed to create intense feelings. As is typical of Doc Johnson toys, the Super Stroker 2 is well made and reasonably priced, but I would only recommend it to somebody who has definitely wants a "more is better" experience.
