Magnetic dual power ring - cock ring discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Jimbo Jones

Everyone knows that magnets have a negative pole and a positive pole, and to get two magnets to come together they need to be opposite polarity right? Well, the Magnetic Dual Power Ring by California Exotics must have the same pole as my partner's clitoris because these two things just refuse to get together. I guess this means the ring has the opposite pole of my pole because it seems to stick to me just fine and my pole is very attracted to her lady parts. Herein lies the problem, if I'm going to turn my pole into a vibrating dong, I want my partner to get some extra pleasure out of it as well and it just doesn't seem to happen with this ring. All of this is figurative, of course, because I don't think the magnets really make much difference in the overall experience of this ring, but at least I have something to blame it on.

The body of this ring is TPR with magnets embedded in it. TPR is a good choice as it is compatible with both water and silicone based lubes and is easy to clean with soap and water. It can't be sterilized, however, so sharing with multiple partners is not a good idea. The ring comes housed in a cardboard box meant for hanging that has several pictures of the toy on the outside but no scantily clad or naked people so it shouldn't disturb any one's sensibilities.

The Magnetic Dual Power Ring has two separate rings - one each for your shaft and your balls - with a vibrating bullet in between. This bullet is really good and is probably the best part of this ring. It is splash-proof as it has an o-ring protecting the internals from water which means it's good for shower/tub play. It also has three speeds. It's operation is accomplished via a simple single push button that cycles through the three speeds. The bullet worked very well on its own to give her a clitoral orgasm prior to my putting it back in the ring and putting the ring in place.

The ring was a little more difficult to put in place than I expected. Both rings are stretchy, probably stretchy enough to fit 90% of guys, but they are also pretty firm. The shaft portion was straight forward enough, the testicle ring was the tricky one. My balls just didn't want to cooperate, so I had to put some effort into getting everything to go where it was supposed to. Once it was on, however, everything stayed in place very well. In fact, I think the testicle ring tends to pull the vibrator back so much that it just doesn't hit the receiver well at all, and I think that is the major downfall of this ring. If they wanted to add a vibe on top of the shaft ring I think the whole experience would be greatly improved.

It strikes me as I write this review that there may be some kind of demand in the male homosexual market for a two ring device (similar to this) where one ring could be worn by the giver (probably around his shaft and testicles) and after he has entered the receiver, the receiver could slip the other ring around some portion of his penis. They would then be connected by this stretchy ring and it would try to pull them together as they tried to pull apart. Now that's what I call attraction! If this thing comes to market in the near future, I better get some royalties.

I had such hope for the Magnetic Dual Power Ring after enjoying the Magnetic Full Contact Power Ring so much, but the experience was really very different with the Dual Power. This ring was much less comfortable and it just didn't hit the spots it needed to hit. If you really want to wrap your cock in magnets, get the Full Contact Ring and give this Dual Power Ring a pass.
