Round and round it goes. If I come, nobody knows.

For the above average guys out there, the Rotator from Cal Exotics could be just the thing for some sit and spin fun, as long as you are not to big. For the rest of us, this is at best a warm up toy. The sleeve is studded which can provide some nice stimulation and it is water proof so fun in the tub or shower can be had as well. If the motor was stronger, smaller guys could use a sleeve like the Tenga 3D and enjoy it too. As it is, this just stops the beads and ruins the mood.

This is the Rotator from Cal Exotics, what I refer to a "Sit and spin" type toy. Simply insert your penis with a good amount of lube and let the rotating beads massage you to orgasmic bliss. Well, that's the idea anyways. For most of the guys in the known world, this toy will be too big to enjoy the way it was intended. Even the guys who are on the larger side (girth) may not get much pleasure from it, if they are too big, the motor will just stop turning. I guess this toy is best for about 1% of the guys out there as your size has to be right at 1 15/16" diameter to have it work. (OK, not exactly but you get the idea)

So, let’s first look at the good, shall we?

You get a 10 1/2" tall tubular shaped device. The top half tapers and curves to make an ergonomic shape for easy holding. The top half is black plastic as is the battery cap. The controls are in easy thumb reach when holding; these are under a white soft plastic disk and light up during use.

Below the handle is a grey band followed by a clear section displaying the 120 clear beads, these are mounted on 12 metal rods supported by two black plastic rings. Below the clear plastic is another band of grey plastic holding the silicone sleeve's end. The lower half measures 3 1/2" diameter (11" cir).

Inside the lower half is a silicone sleeve. It is somewhat firm, but by no means hard. Guys that like heavy textures (Like me) will be in heaven, others may find it too much. There are 170, 1/8" tall nubs on the sides and 25 of them on the top. From tip of nub to tip of nub it measures 1 13/16" across and is 4" deep. The sleeve wraps nicely around the bottom so there is no sharp edges of plastic to cause discomfort but there is little padding. Sorry guys, no pounding this one.

The Rotator runs on four AA batteries. These fit in a holder the slips in the top. Simply turn the cap a 1/8 of a turn and remove the holder, insert the batteries (following the right polarity) and drop it back in the hole. Replace the cap and go for it. The cap has an O-ring (I am guessing silicone due to the color) to keep it dry inside. I did not test this in the tub but did wash it twice in the sink and purposely directed the water on the cap just to see.

You get five speeds of standard rotation and seven functions (Patterns of spinning) to chose from. There is four buttons to control the toy; on/off, right speed increase, left speed increase and direction control and a led that changes colors to match the speeds or patterns. The direction control also controls the different functions. Start by depressing the on/off button to turn it on. Then depress the direction control button to start it spinning. Here you can use the left/right (< >) buttons to increase/decrease the speed. By depressing the direction control button again you can change the direction of the rotation. Depressing it a third time puts it into the different patterns. These are mostly "Spin to the right, stop, spin to the left" type actions, they vary in duration from short to long with one that is a spin fast right for two seconds, spin fast left for two seconds, spin right for one second, spin left for one second type of deal. In the standard rotation mode you can change the speed up or down but once in the function mode you have to cycle through all the modes to get back to a previous one. The sound from the motor and beads can be heard through a heavy blanket but not trough a door.

Since the sleeve portion is silicone you could use a bleach solution for cleaning but I fear it may discolor the clear plastic if things get messy. I think a better idea is just to use antibacterial soap and water or a toy cleaner.

Oil and water based lubes will work fine but spot test silicone lubes if that is your pleasure; it may or may not work. One thing you will find is that a lot of lube will be needed if you plan on coating the hole sleeve. I found that a thicker lube like Maximus works best with this toy, this will keep it from running out as there is nothing to keep it in.
Experience
OK, so now for the bad. Here is a picture of the Cush dildo sitting at the opening to the sleeve, the Cush is 1 3/4" diameter. As you can see there will be some room even at this size.

I am right at the 1 3/4" diameter mark, that is the widest as my tool is more oval than round. So needless to say, I had a lot of free space inside the sleeve. Just sitting there holding the Rotator still, I could not feel the beads spinning. I could feel some slight vibration but that's about it. Well, it is a short sleeve so I tried angling the toy so that I could at least feel it in one area, that sort of worked. If I angled it so that I could feel the beads good, it would stop the rotation. If the sleeve was softer or made from TRP the beads could be felt easier with less pressure.

So my next thought was to insert my Tenga 3D sleeve inside to take up the gap between sleeve and penis. It spun pretty good until I inserted my penis which stopped it cold. So much for that idea!

The only way I could get anything going was to hold the Rotator by the top and rotate it on a circle around my penis while the beads were spinning the opposite way. This felt pretty good but I would say that was the texture of the sleeve not the beads.

I will try to cut it apart at the base and see if I can tighten the beads some by bending the rods that hold them. Many years ago I had a similar toy and that worked some for that. I figure it is worth a shot. If nothing else maybe I can rig up a Harley motor (More Power!!! arrrg arrgg) to keep it from stopping when pressure is applied.

This one is hard to rate for me, on the one hand you have a silicone sleeve which will last for years. You have a great looking case to house everything and the texture is something I really like. But, it is to big for me and the motor needs more power. It could be a great toy for guys that only need light stimulation and fit the sleeve better. I guess a 2 1/2" (down the middle) rating would be fair but I will drop the half and go with two.

I have to agree Diabolical Kitty. Maybe they should do more market research before they release toys like this.
