Vibrating ring with clit stimulator
by

Running from the Bull

The El Toro is a cock cage that is meant to be put on the shaft of either an erect penis or a hard vibrator. It is made of TPR with a pair of beads on both the top and bottom for additional stimulation. The attached clitoral stimulator is shaped like a bull with nose and horns reaching out from the bullet vibrator to contact the clitoris. The size is probably too small for most guys and it has a tendency to push blood out of the penis instead of holding it in like a more traditional cock ring.

Use

The El Toro Enhancer can be used in a couple of ways. It can be put on the penis during sex where a penis is involved or it can be slipped onto a traditional vibrator. In either case the idea is to provide additional textures and vibration to the experience. The main idea is that the bars of the TPR “cage” along with the beads will increase girth and sensations during penetrative sex and when the penis or dildo is in deep enough the bullet vibrator and nose and horns of the bull will provide clitoral stimulation. It comes with 6 watch batteries total which is two sets for the bullet vibrator and including an extra set of batteries is a nice feature.

Material / Texture

The El Toro Enhancer is made out of TPR. This is a pretty decent choice when a stretchy material is required. It is better than “jelly” because at least the material ingredients are known (unlike jelly) and it shouldn't contain phthalates. The TPR used for the El Toro Enhancer is thicker and less stretchy than other TPRs out there. Unfortunately, this lack of stretchiness makes the El Toro Enhancer less than ideal as a penis ring.
The El Toro Enhancer is definitely not short in the texture category. It creates a “cage” of sorts along your cock with the bars being made out of TPR with some beads interspersed for even more texture. All of that may actually add up to be too much texture. The clitoral stimulator is shaped like a bull with the nose and horns being presumably meant to reach out and stimulate your clit. This may not be completely unsuccessful, but it does take some effort to get things to line up properly.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

This is the category where the El Toro Enhancer really leaves something to be desired. The size and stretchiness of the “cage” really make this better suited for use on a plastic vibrator. Unfortunately, a human penis does not have the same rigidity as a plastic vibrator. The El Toro does stretch, but it has a very strong elasticity and it really pushes against whatever it is wrapped around. This helps it to stay in place well, but it really doesn't help much in maintaining an erection because it tends to push the blood out of the penis instead of holding it in the penis. It might be better to include an additional ring attached to the bull end of the toy that can be put behind the testicles to hold the blood flow out in the penis.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrator for the El Toro Enhancer is a simple push button bullet vibe. It uses three watch batteries. It puts off a decent amount of vibration so it isn't bad in that category. Unfortunately, it doesn't have anything to dampen the sound, so it ends up being rather loud for its size. The button seems to work as it is meant to. It doesn't seem to have on o-ring to protect the internals from water, so the waterproof features are questionable at best. The bullet vibrator can be used separately, but it is so loud that unless it's all you have, I don't think it will be your first choice.

Care and Maintenance

TPR is easy to care for. Soap and water are all that is really needed to clean it. Toy cleaner works as well. None of these really sterilize the toy, and there isn't a way to truly do this with TPR, so sharing this toy with multiple partners without a condom is not a good idea. Also, using the El Toro for anal play without a condom covering it should probably be avoided, but the way this thing feels, it seems like anal play isn't a great option any way.

Packaging

The El Toro enhancer comes in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. The box has a picture of the toy and lists it name and attributes with a red eyed bull in the background. It has “sales pitch” text as well, but the interesting thing about the box is the fine print. It has some nice cautions about the use of the El Toro. These include not to use it for more than 30 minutes at a time and to allow 60 minutes between additional uses. Don't fall asleep or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while using it. It also says “prolonged use (without removal) may result in bruising at the base or permanent injury to the penis. Consult your physician should any complication occur and discontinue further use immediately.” These are pretty stiff warnings that should be heeded and I am glad that California Exotic chose to include them.

Experience

As you can probably tell by now, my experience with the El Toro enhancer was probably less than favorable. The cage was too tight and provided too much (almost painful) stimulation to my partner. The bullet, although small, was too loud. It was difficult to get the nose and horns of the bull to do their job on her clitoris. It works better on a plastic vibe, but my partner didn't really like it in that application either. A better bullet would be an improvement, as would a way to help the El Toro keep the blood in my penis rather than trying to push it out of my penis. All in all the El Toro was pretty much a failure for us. I give it only two stars because it does have some versatility to it and it may be just the ticket for other women or couples.

Did you have to worry about skin getting caught in/under the beads? That was the main reason I steered away from them (get it?).

    Great review, thanks!

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you.

This one just looks like it's uncomfortable for everyone involved. Sounds like it actually is. Thanks, great review. Smile

Thanks, everyone for the compliments. I appreciate it.
Mr. Sauce - the beads are really surrounded by TPR, so they didn't get skin caught under them per se, but stretchy rings do have a tendency to pull hair, and the more openings there are the greater the chance of hair pull, so this definitely has the potential to become uncomfortable from that regard as well, but I didn't have too much trouble with that specifically. Your point is well taken, however, and I think this is one to steer away from.
newme21 - your condolences are appreciated, you win some you lose some, right?
Laurel - this toy can definitely provide some discomfort.

This is definitely something that I'd pass on--- you're a brave couple (LOL). Nice review!

Thanks again, everyone, for the compliments.
Sammi, it is odd, and passing on it is probably a good idea. Surprised
Alan & Michele, good decision! However, I'll try anything once or twice.

I finally got to see this in person at a b&m store last night. It looks like something I would've stuck with my action figures as a kid.

    Yeah, kinda scary looking...
  • Contributor: Jimbo Jones
Mr. Sauce, I hadn't even thought of that useage. I could use it as a rubber cage around action figures like they were trapped in some kind of clear cage apparatus. Or maybe it is some funky body armor with a bull on their back. Good stuff.

    Nice review Smile
It's too bad you didn't like it, I think it looks kinda neat. Very manly compared to the rabbits and dolphins that usually accompany toys at least Tongue out

Thanks, hkjazz. I think California Exotics has come up with a whole line of vibrating cock rings that incorporate the bulls head instead of rabbits or dolphins or whatever. I guess it does have a more masculine look.
