Silicone mini-masturbator.

Packed in a unique egg package, the Tenga Egg provides a unique sensation. Relying on the extreme stretchiness of the silicone material, Tenga Eggs stretch from their small 2x2-1/2" dimensions to fit almost anyone, providing a fun, inexpensive, and easy to clean and store experience. Turned inside out, the Egg can also be used on the vulva, clitoris our anus for more pleasure. The Stepper comes with small curved ridges providing texture on the inside.

Use

The Tenga Egg is different from most sleeves. It's shorter and wider, with at least 2" of inside diameter at the widest point, making the Tenga Egg almost as wide as it is long. This has lead to some consternation among people trying to use it. Slid over an erect penis it looks more like a shower cap than a masturbation sleeve. It does work, and well - you just need to adjust your expectations.

The Tenga Egg works because of the extreme stretchiness of the soft silicone material that Tenga uses. Once the Egg is lubed up you can easily stretch it to cover a 7" penis without the sleeve breaking. Unfortunately, as the Egg is stretched out the stimulation provided by the texture (1/2" ridges in the case of my "Stepper" model) is minimized, but the sweet spot for stimulation extends easily up to 4" of length.

But wait - there's more. Unlike most other masturbation sleeves out there the Tenga Egg is not limited to penises! Yes, you read that right - it's possible for anyone to use the Egg on themselves or anyone else. Flip the Egg inside out, slide it over a couple of fingers, and presto - you have a clit, vulva, or anus rubbing sleeve. Flip it back and it can once again go over a penis. What other toys can do that (and in safety, due to the Egg's ability to be sanitized)?

Material / Texture

The Tenga Egg is among the few silicone masturbation sleeves currently made. Unlike most silicone, the Tenga Egg is extremely soft and stretchy, almost like the "real-feel" silicone used on other toys. Undoubtedly the Egg puts the soft silicone to good use - the texture, though very pronounced, feels quite good during use, and my Egg has survived multiple masturbation sessions with little wear.

Since it is made of silicone, care is very easy. Cleanup can be done in the sink with soap and water, and you can use almost any lube you want, either oil or water based. Silicone lube is not recommended with the Tenga Eggs, as silicone lubes can bind to silicone toys and the softer silicone toys seem to be more subject to the phenomenon.

Also, since the Egg is silicone, it is possible to sanitize it in a 10% bleach solution or by boiling for use by multiple people.
    • Light odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Sticky

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The shape is unique - it really does look like a hard boiled egg white (although the color is closer to soft boiled). It's stretchy enough to fit most men, but it's best if you keep the "working length" to about 4 inches or less. The wide cavity makes the Egg feel very different from the other sleeves I've tried - there really isn't much tightness from the Egg, rather your hand provides as much of a tight feel as you want. interesting, but a little different at first. The looseness definitely opens up unique options for foreplay or other extended-time fun, as the Egg can be lubed up and slipped over the glans ready to be squeezed and rotated around from time to time.

There is one tight spot on the Egg, a ring at the base. The tight ring at the base serves two functions: firstly it helps to keep the lubricant inside and any water (if you are using it in a shower, for instance) outside so your lubricant doesn't rinse off as easily. Secondly, it helps to keep your ejaculate contained. It's tight enough to do a pretty good job at both of these functions but at the same time loose enough to enable easy, comfortable use.

Undoubtedly, the Tenga Egg is one of the more hideable and discreet masturbators around. It's looks really don't say "sex toy" at all. Not having tried to take the Egg on an airplane flight yet I can't speak with authority, but my guess is that it wouldn't elicit comment from security unless you have wires nearby.
    • Discreet look/design
    • Whimsical / artistic

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Tenga Egg is a masturbator that definitely has a preference for how you use it, hand-held, single-hand. Making use of the stretchy nature of the silicone, the Egg really can't be held between pillows or any other objects and still be successfully used. I found that it was better with a single hand as well - with two hands I tended to loose my grip on the Egg when it got slick with lube, resulting in the Egg sliding back to the tip of my penis. Used single-handedly it worked well, both with a loose grip as well as when I tightened down.

Care and Maintenance

Made from silicone, the Tenga Egg is fairly easy to store, since you don't have to worry about it melting. Since the silicone is very soft you do need to worry about mechanical damage. The Tenga Egg is best stored in the pack it came in which is, appropriately, a plastic egg. Washed, dried, and safely snapped away the Tenga egg will last you through several sessions.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

Appropriately enough, the Tenga Egg ships in a shrink-wrapped plastic egg. Unfortunately the Tenga Egg ships with very few instructions, which has led to more than one confused would-be user. Tenga has a non-pornographic set of pictures showing the official way to use the Egg at on the Tenga Website.

These things have been interesting me for a while. I'm liking what Tenga is doing with it's masturbators but I can't get any just yet!

What kind of lube does the egg come with? I can't figure it out from the packet; nothing's in English!

Not sure about lube specifics. It's some sort of water-based lube, and probably contains parabens.

Wow! Great review and good ideas on other uses (like turning it inside out). Also like your description about how discrete it is.

whoops. meant to put this under a different topic!
    • From what I've seen, the general consensus is that the Tenga Eggs are pretty nice for the price (rhyme not intended, haha!). A lot of people recommend them to guys as first-time strokers, since they're cheap and disposable.

Before asking questions like this in the forum, though, read a few of the reviews. I find that it's usually helpful to read at least one from someone who really liked it and one from someone who didn't, so you can get an idea from both sides. :)

  • tenga+strap-on?
    • I don't know why, but I keep fantasizing about jerking off my strap-on/hard pack cock with a tenga egg. I feel kinda ridiculous about it but WHY NOT POST IT ON HERE (oh god my tumblr is showing)

I know some of y'all have talked about getting head on your strap-on...but this just seems a little weird. I have had fun jerking off my strap-on cock every once and a while too..

Has anybody had similar ideas/experiences? It's kinda the psychological aspect, like with getting head, I guess?

(And so it wouldn't be a waste, I'd give it to my partner to use after I've had my fun, seeing as I'm not gonna cum in it...)
    • I wouldn't mind it, I'd probably like it more if my partner was the one playing with it for me though haha.
    • Actually I have a couple different Feeldoes, and I have thought about using our Egg on it as well. Then I reember there are better ways to get an orgasm from my Feeldoe, but eventually the need to try it will override my need for a quicker orgasm. I'll report back once I try it ;)

  • Fleshlight
    • How does it compare to the fleshlight feeling?
    • Alan says there's no comparison; Tenga egg is more like an enhanced hand job, but the right Fleshlight is like "gettin some strange" (his words, not mine.. LOL)

  • Tenga Eggs and Foreskin?
    • So I'm curious because I'd love to get my boyfriend one of these. He is not circumcised, meaning he has his foreskin (thank goodness :D ) but that makes we wonder how well these would work for him. See the reason I ask is because his foreskin occasionally will get caught or pinched in a condom, and I know those are significantly tighter, but I'd hate to buy him something that ends up being uncomfortable.

Any uncut guys have experience with these toys and can give me some insight?
    • I hate bumping my own posts but I'm looking for an answer ASAP... I'd like to place my order for other things tonight, and it'd be great to tack this onto the order rather than buying it separately and paying separate shipping.
    • Sorry I'm late.

My Master is also uncut and I got him a couple of Tenga eggs over the past few months. He says they're really enjoyable and they don't hurt. I do rec that your boyfriend uses lube with it, though.

  • Where have all the Tenga Eggs gone?
    • I'm not sure if I keep missing when these come back in stock and they just get bought up really fast or if they just aren't ordering any more. But My partner adores these eggs and would really like to try the Sparkle or Twinkle. However I've never seen them available. Anyone know what is going on with this?
    • I believe that the Tenga Sparkle and Twinkle were 2010 seasonal limited edition, so EF may not be able to get them in stock again at all. Perhaps you can file a support ticket, though, and inquire as to whether or not they will ever return to stock.

:( I have been wondering why those are always out of stock myself. I really want to get one of both Twinkle and Sparkle for my SO, but I have yet to see them stocked myself.

  • Tenga Egg Material
    • I know EF has the eggs listed as being silicone but I wondered if anyone has actually flame tested one of these cute little guys.

Reason I ask is because I went searching the tenga website when someone (and I cannot for the life of me remember who) wrote a review and were unsure of the egg lotion being water or silicone based.

When I stumbled onto the tenga canada site and saw the specs for the egg it said there they are actually made of Elastomer.

So has anyone taken science into their own hands about these little suckers?
    • Hmmm very interesting indeed...

We've never used one of the eggs, but I'm very interested in knowing the answer to this. Not that it would make a super huge difference simply because they're so cheap and disposable.. I wouldn't mind if it was Elastomer as opposed to silicone. I'm still gonna get one :)
    • Oh for sure. It just would make a whole lot more sense right. Like why it is so disposable, why it does not seem to matter what lube you use.

  • Single use?
    • I'm wondering exactly why these are only single-use. I've read most of the reviews, but still do not understand exactly why (I would have commented, I just wanted to make a general discussion). Since it's silicone, shouldn't it be..? Or is it a really low-grade or soft silicone or something?

      Thank you!

      Hi Sir!

We have one and we've only used it once so far, but the top of the egg appears to be thinning, like it will break with one or two more uses. I think it is the grade of silicone, however, I really do think they can last more than one use. Many people I know who use them get at least a few uses out of them.
    • Glad someone posted on these because I'm infinitely curious about them. I hope someone does a video because I still can't get a good idea of how these work just by looking at/reading about them.
