Memo to reader: this is the wife speaking.

I purchased this gift for the hubby as a "baby welcome" gift to help him deal with the unavoidable dry spell with baby number three. I did not really know what to expect, as we have never owned any similar toys before and I was thus not experienced with them. I knew the hubby would love the green, which was how this version won out over the others available.

Upon arrival I opened the package and was very surprised by the texture. The toy is made of Jelly, and although we have had jelly toys before this one was not at all like them in texture. The Senso Lips were sticky and stretchy and made me think of one of my children's sticky hands they get as dentist prizes. This was a big turn off for me, as these lips were originally intended for us to use as a couple. The other thing I immediately did not like is that every little thing sticks to these lips. Because they are made of jelly they need to be cleaned with toy cleaner and warm water. We store them in a plastic bag, because it does not seem to mater what else we do they get covered in dust and dirt that is a pain to clean off.

Once I got passed the texture and the face, do not get me started on how weird that was for me. Guys may like it but I was not sure what to think. The Senso Lips did their job quite well. The size was good and it seemed to have just the right amount of stretch to cover and be snug, without being overly difficult to get on or off. The hubby did seem to enjoy them, although I do not believe this will be a toy that is used regularly. It will go to the bottom of the box until the time when/if another baby arrives.

The texture on this still gets to me. I have found that it is better in the shower where it loses some of its stickiness; however, my husband dislikes it in the shower for the same reason. I think we're going to call it quits and put it away, at least for now.
