Ramrod pump - penis pump discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by ♥ Amanda ♥

Penis pumps are very new to us. Actually the Ramrod was our very first, which poses a lot of problems with this product. After the experience of this total no go machine, I am not sure if we will ever waste our money on any pumps.

The Ramrod is in the Catalina Collection by California Exotics. It is an 8 inch, translucent tube equipped with a bulb pump. The inside diameter is 2 inches long, but the diameter of the latex sleeve is only 1 inch in diameter. The latex is black. The bulb is controlled by squeezing, which acts like a suction cup inside the tube. There is a release (push) button on the bulb to let the pressure out of the tube. The pump is also complimented with a bullet that is hands free due to a latex strap that holds it on the tube. It is controlled by 2 Aa batteries.

We have studied over this product and tried it a few ways, many trial and errors, and more errors.

First of all, California Exotics forgot to include instructions. That just dumbfounds me. For a product such as a penis pump, I consider instructions/directions on the top of my importance list. If a man has never used a penis pump, they would have no idea what to do. The idea is basic, but we are talking serious problems if someone did not know what they were doing.

Secondly, this pump is literally a piece of junk. Everything, and I do mean everything is falling apart on this after very little use. The strap for the bullet ripped during the first use. The latex sleeve at the insertion point is tearing. And most importantly, it does not work.

Trial 1: We used the pump with lubrication and without erection. He slid into the pump with ease. He pumped a few times, and his member began to stretch. Not get hard, just stretch the length of the tube. He turned the bullet on, and felt no vibrations through the tube. The vibrating runs throughout the plastic of the tube, but obviously not through the empty airspace in the tube. So unless you are 2 inches in diameter, and you rubbing against the inner sides of the tube, you aren’t going to feel a thing. He then released the valve, and his member shrunk back down to normal size instantly and he was still non erect. Also when cleaning the tube the latex to hold the bullet on ripped. Trial 1: Fail

Trail 2: He used the pump with lubrication and erection. He pumped and extended his erection to the length of the tube. He let in remain there for five minutes. He then released the valve and his erection instantly went back to normal size. Trial 2: Fail

Trial 3: He followed the same process of trial 2 again with failure. And then he decided to use his imagination. He has a masturbator, the Salsa Shaker, to be exact. He took off the latex sleeve inside the pump and placed the shaker inside the tube. He place his dick inside the Shaker, and then pump, pumped it up! He said it felt like anal sex and a blow job at the same time. Also it was a great come catcher. Trial 3: Extension, fail; Ejaculation, pass!

So basically the pump does not work, but if you happen to buy it, there is another possible use for it.

The most important thing that I can stress all together is that you need to use lubrication with this product. Also I would recommend reading up on the safety and care instruction for penis pumps. If you are not familiar, research is necessary because none is provided. And third this pump is made with latex. So if you have a latex allergy… DO NOT USE THIS!

Latex is also very hard to clean. It is very porous. Water and silicone based lubes only and wash with warm soapy water. No cleaners. Latex is kept in good shape by cleaning it often.

I can say they at least we found some use for the tube. It makes masturbation less messy if you like using masturbators.

Not much has changed with the Ramrod. It was fun watching my partner try to do 100 different things with it, and it sure gave me some laughs. But the truth is the Ramrod is a low quality product. I am not sure if we will ever purchase another pump. Our first experience with one was horrid. Personally, I think the Ramrod should just be taken off the market.
