Remote vibrating wireless thong - vibrating panty discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Breas

The Remote Vibrating Wireless Thong by Cal Exotics is a vibrating thong for men. I was really excited to see how this product worked for my male partner because I haven’t seen male vibrating underwear before, only the female ones.

The product arrived in a rectangular, cardboard package. The front of the packaging states the company name, product name, size, and a few product features. There is also a photo of a male wearing the thong. The back of the packaging has the same information and photo as the front, along with a few extra stated features, and a brief product description. The packaging is not discreet whatsoever. The box would be fine for storing the product in when it is not in use.



Inside of the cardboard box, the thong and the remote/vibrator/instructions are packaged separately in plastic. There is also a 12V battery included in the box. The product requires 2x AAA batteries as well, which are not included. The product page says that the AAA batteries are included, but they aren’t. Even the cardboard packaging says they are not included. The instruction paper in the packaging states the battery insertion instructions, electrical malfunction information, instructions for use, warnings, and company contact information. Below you can see the instructions and battery. The battery is very tiny and loose in the box so be sure to be careful when opening the box so you do not lose it.



The thong material composition is 90% polyester and 10% spandex. The stimulator and controller are ABS (plastic). The thong has quite a bit of stretch to it, though I suppose it would have to being a one-size-fits-most. Below is a photo of the thong, the photo on the left is the front, and the right is the back.

The vibrating piece that sits in the thong takes the 12V battery and the remote control takes the 2x AAA batteries. Battery insertion is very simple, and the compartment closures slide and click in very easily. The vibrating piece is 2 ½ inches long, 1 inch wide, and 1 inch thick. The remote is 3 ¾ inches long, 1 ½ inches wide, and a tad over ½ inch thick.



The rectangular vibrating piece sits in a long thin pouch inside of the thong. The pouch can sit two different ways, forward or backwards. This allows the wearer to choose whether they would like the vibrations on their testicles, or anally. The vibrating piece is much shorter than the length of the pouch, so the person wearing the thong can choose how far up/down the vibrator sits. The vibrator sits very snug in the sleeve so that it will not come out of the pouch or move its position when used. You can see the vibrator in the slim pouch in the photo below.



The remote control is very simple to use because there is only one vibration setting. You click the button to “on”, and it begins vibrating. When you click the button “off”, it takes a few seconds for the vibrations to turn off. The vibration actually seems to simmer out rather than turn right off immediately. When the vibrator is on, the red light on the top of the remote control is lit up.



The vibration level is quite high and they are buzzy. The material of the pouch does not seem to lessen the vibrations that can be felt.

My partner wears a size large in underwear, and sometimes extra large depending on the make. When he tried on the thong and showed me, I was surprised at how well they fit. He kept going on about how comfortable the underwear was on him. Since the underwear is so stretchy, they should fit up to an XL fine without any uncomfortable tightness. The front area of the thong has quite a bit of room in it, so his goodies were not smushed.

I asked my partner how the vibrating piece felt before we turned it on and he said that he couldn’t even tell it was there. I then asked him to strut around the living room in the thong and see if the vibrator was uncomfortable while he walked, or if it slid around with movement. He said that he still couldn’t feel the vibrator piece in the pouch, and that it stayed put. He had the pouch facing forward.

When it was time to try the vibrations out, I didn’t let my partner know when I was going to turn the vibrator on or off. I wish I had a video of his face because it was hilarious. The suspense of not knowing when I would turn it on really excited him. The first few times I turned the vibrator on and then off, he laughed hysterically. He said that it really ticked against his skin. When he placed the pouch backwards, he didn’t find it ticklish. He said they both feel very good. My partner said that once the vibration was constant (rather than me trying to surprise him), it felt really good. He said that it would be nice if there were more than just one setting to the vibration.

The packaging says that the remote will control the vibrations from a distance of 12 feet away (or 3.7 meters). We put this to the test and it passed with flying colours. My partner was in the living room, and I measured a 12 foot distance from him and turned the remote on, and he could feel it. I then went into the bedroom (a much further distance), and it still worked. I then closed the bedroom door and turned the remote on, it still worked, even through the closed door! We were really impressed with the distance it allows you to play with.

The noise is relatively quiet. You can hear a faint buzzing noise, but we could only hear this when we turned off the television and fan. My partner said he would wear these under a pair of pants out in public because no one would hear it. If we were in a place completely silent (like the library for example), no one would be able to tell the vibrations were coming from his underwear. It sounds more like a vibrating cell phone in a pocket.

Another way we used the product is he was wearing the thong, pulled his penis out the side of them, and I was able to give him oral. He said that the vibrations really added to the experience. You could do this with oral, hand jobs, or sexual intercourse as well.

The care tag in the thong says that it should be hand washed in cold water (I assume line dried). When it was time to clean up the remote and vibrator, we just used toy wipes to clean them off. You could also use a damp washcloth with soap.

My partner was extremely happy with the vibrating undies. We had a lot of fun playing around with them and we will definitely use them again soon. He said that he would give them a 5 out of 5, but I decided to give the product a 4 out of 5. I’ve deducted one star because there is only one level of vibration intensity, and the fact that we will need to replace the 12V battery when it dies.

My partner and I still really love the remote vibrating thong! We've only used the thong a handful of times since my original review but I'm happy to say that the 12V battery that came with the thong is still going strong. It's not something we use often but when we do, we have a lot of fun with it.
