I have been anxious to try out this toy for months. I mean, it has been hyped as being an awesome toy that is very unique... and it is, but does it live up to this hype?

I ordered the black/black version, which is entirely black, with some silver siding (The pictures are accurate). The "frame" of the toy is a high quality plastic, and the part that you penetrate is a high grade, silky to the touch silicone, which is what I expect from a company like Fun Factory. Overall the toy is about the size of a standard soda can, and the penetration depth is 3".

The packaging is also very nicely done but the charger comes in a separate box as well. The box also contains a pamphlet with pictures of all of Fun Factory's products, as well as warnings and instructions for the Cobra and it's charger.

The Cobra is made of silicone, but due to its design, it cannot be submerged in water (i.e. boiling or dishwasher) to clean it, which really only leaves soap and water as your only true cleaning option. The cobra is "waterproof", but really, this only means you can get it wet during cleaning. Sorry guys, this Cobra doesn't swim.

To charge the toy, you simply place the charger on the "fun" logo on the front of the toy and it magnetically holds on to charge. Unfortunately, you need to fully charge the toy out of the box, as per the instructions to prolong the battery life. It is rechargeable which means no batteries. It also will last for an hour or 2 without a re-charge.

Ok, so now that the technical stuff is out of the way, let me tell you about the Cobra! This is a very unique toy. It is a masturbator, but you don't "stroke" with it. The best way I can describe it is that it is the male equivalent to a clitoral vibrator for women. You stick your member in the toy, turn it on and let it vibrate you to heaven! In fact, if you try to thrust, it has a mechanism which drops the vibrations back to idle.

The toy has 3 buttons, which aren't really buttons at all... they are a hard plastic that recognizes you are touching it, kind of like a touch screen might. The other two are a "+" and a "-" to speed up and slow down the toy. When you turn the toy on using the on/off button, it is in idle mode, much like a car would idle. the vibrations are apparent, but really won't do much for you. Be sure to put some lube (WATER BASED ONLY!) in the toy and put your erect penis inside. Even if you aren't fully erect you can still penetrate the toy and it will do the rest for you. There is a little hunch on the inside of the toy which contours to the head and helps "surround" you with vibrations for a very intense feeling. The toy's vibration range is second to none and will definitely be enough to get the job done. It also has various pre-programmed patters, which honestly I have no idea how to describe, but it makes for some fun hands free variations! The buttons are responsive and if you hold it down it will speed up like a Ferrari would if you floored it! Overall, this toy has so many options for speed, pace and patterns that it is really up to you to customize your experience and find what works best for you.

As for my experience, this toy had a lot of expectations to meet. Did it get the job done? Well, yes, but I was a bit disappointed as to the intensity it offered. The vibrations were enough, and maybe I just did not take my time and patience with the toy, but it wasn't the most amazing orgasm ever, it was fairly average in my book. However, the fact that no movement was involved speaks volumes for the capability of the Cobra.

Personally, I would have liked SOME texture on this toy, but I understand why there isn't due to the non-thrusting nature of the toy. A deeper "cavity" so more than the head of my penis could be stimulated.It would also be nice if the "cavity" could be removed to be sterilized, or to have inter-change-able silicone parts so you could further customize this toy, but I am not sure if this is possible give its design and how it actually works. I would still suggest this toy to anyone looking for a very unique experience, but if your goal is to simulate sex, this is not the toy for you.
