This is one of the Fleshlight series masturbation sleeves. As with all models in this series, a hard plastic case holds a soft sleeve fashioned from "Superskin", a synthetic material that is patented by Fleshlight. It is rated 5 on the EF safety scale. Some points to be aware of are that the material is hypo-allergenic; latex and phthalates free. It is porous and should never be shared unless a condom is used by everyone using the sleeve (and even with this precaution, I do not recommend sharing).

In this model, the case and sleeve are translucent so that in addition to feeling the sensations of your dick, you can also see the action as it is happening-- something that appeals to me and adds to my experience. Because of the firm outside it is easy to forget you are flying solo since you can not feel any pressure from your hands.

All of the Fleshlight masturbation sleeves are well made and long lasting. They are pricier than most soft sleeves but also more durable so the price/life of use ratio balances out in the long run. Also, the experience beats any soft (AKA: pocket pussy) sleeve that I have tried.

The Superskin and the plastic case have no noticeable odor. Superskin is soft and dense-- both of which contribute to a realistic feeling. Water based lubes are the only recommended type-- other lubes may contribute to the breakdown of the sleeve and thus shorten the lifespan.

Fleshlight company describes the texture as being unique to the Ice Lady Crystal. I have also tried the "Lotus" interior and I prefer the Ice Lady. I am guessing here, but I think the name was chosen for 2 reasons: it is a clear (like ice) sleeve, and the last texture resembles cracked ice (or wrinkles!).

All of the Fleshlight models have a screw on cap at the end of the sleeve-- its purpose is so that you can tighten or loosen it allowing for a stronger suction. This is supposed to feel like oral but I do not agree. I say just try it out with different levels and see what works best for you-- it is easy to adjust while using. Men of average or slightly larger size will probably enjoy this sleeve more than us smaller guys.

The case looks like a large, rechargeable flashlight, not like a masturbation device. It is heavy and large; 2 qualities that make it difficult to use 1-handed unless you have gianormously long fingers and durable muscles. Having a partner willing to use it with both hands helps.

Specific measurements (from the manufacturer and confirmed by me) are: length: 10"; width: 3"; fits up to: 2"; usable depth: 7 3/4"; weight: 1 lb. With these measurements I found it not as tight as average and below may want, but it was still effective for me and actually much more enjoyable than my usual handjob. Truthfully, to fully enjoy the Ice Lady Crystal the ideal dick would be at least 7"-- something I can only dream about (but my dick does keep me pretty happy.)

A suggestion was given to me to use elastic bands at various places on the sleeve to tighten the pressure at various points. Remove the sleeve from the case, place the elastic bands where you think you will enjoy more pressure, and return the sleeve to the case. OR, you can use the sleeve without the plastic case-- it is lighter and easier to hold, although you will likely still need 2 hands to support the length of the sleeve. I experimented with these alternative methods and found (to my surprise and delight) that I was able to tighten areas that didn't have quite the amount of firmness that I wanted. It also prevents becoming too familiar with the sensations so that the sleeve maintains your interest over time.

Fleshlight sleeves, and the Ice Lady more than others, can be quite sticky and need to be coated with cornstarch (not talc and not baby powder) between uses. You also need to keep the sleeve completely closed and covered because it has a tendency to pick up any dirt that is nearby. The manufacturer says that it is not compatible with soap. I take the sleeve out of its case and wash it with baby shampoo and warm water. Ideally you should use a "toy cleaner" but I have had no problems with my method. It needs to be dried completely (it can be turned inside out but be careful because the material can tear). Once dry, remember to dust with cornstarch and place back in its case until next time. I find the care and maintenance comparable to other sleeves on the market.

The toy arrives in a tin case, which although not discreet, makes a nice storage unit. Using the can for storage would help prevent the sleeve from picking up dirt. Inside you find a lube sample and the large, flashlight-looking Ice Lady. It would certainly make a nice gift, providing you and the recipient are comfortable gifting sex items. The Fleshlight Ice Lady Crystal is at the upper end of the price scale but worth every penny. I have never been let down by her and each time is different than the last-- it is that versatile. This is an investment item and will outlast multiple lower priced sleeves. One caveat: if this is your first time using any masturbation sleeve, go with an inexpensive type until you are sure that sleeves in general are the toy for you.

Overall, I certainly enjoyed playing with the Fleshlight Ice Lady Crystal. It accommodates a range of sizes and can be manipulated (with the use of elastic bands and/or using without the plastic case) to change the method of use and the sensations.
