The shining sight of Shunga

Shunga's spray desensitizer differs from other comparable products in that it provides the user with a pleasant experience that does not necessarily take all of the pleasure out of sex. It instead allows one to take a more active role in managing oneself during intercourse, and is a product that every man could benefit from having close at hand for those inevitable times of penile distress.

extremely useful review
I imagine that most forms of tropical desensitizer spray are similar to each other in both effect and appeal, as they tend to market almost exclusively to the elderly or the stereotypical "schlub" of a man whose imagined to be either too lazy or inept to hold an erection for more than a minute. Combined with the fact that the primary ingredient is a 7.5% mixture of benzocaine and alcohol means that Shunga's desensitizer spray is looking more conventional by the minute, but their proprietary mixture of ingredients and upscale marketing elements do much to set this spray above the rest.

The bottle contains 0.53 fl. oz of liquid which is equated to around 150 doses and is small enough to easily conceal if one is not too keen on advertising their usage of this product. It is subsequently housed in a relatively tasteful laminated box that depicts an inspired Japanese print of a man in the midst of foreplay from the "Shunga" school of art which literally means "picture of spring" and is said to be a Japanese euphemism for sex.

While I find it odd that a firm is able to trademark the literal name of an art style, Shunga does make the best of this by presenting an alternative to the normally garish advertising materials used on sex based products. They achieve this byway of a tasteful logo, and an unusually pedantic section within the opening flap that explains the perils of premature ejaculation and how Shunga's desensitizer spray will help rectify the situation. Everything else on the packaging is standard as you have the drug facts on the back, a stray UPC, and frequent self references to the contents stored inside. It should also be noted that the product is much smaller than the pictures online would have one believe so do not be surprised when you end up with something that fits in the hand - box and all.

In regards to usage, one of the primary issues I had with Shunga's desensitizer spray was the application method as a spray head is used for this purpose and more often than not I ended up hitting myself in the leg or hitting the sheets instead of the intended area. This proved to be a two-fold issue in time as the fumes from the spray are rather strong and I had to leave the room where I mis-sprayed due to a general feeling of light-headedness. Needless to say, it is not particularly advisable to use this in the room that one would be functioning in, instead, apply the product in the bathroom or another neutral area in order to avoid making all parties involved literally ill.

Upon application, one can expect a slight, strange tingle on the said area but nothing too disconcerting, and it is recommended that the area in question be allowed to dry for 3 to 5 minutes before beginning activity. The Shunga formula is interesting in that it did not numb the area so much that sensation became an afterthought but I personally did not use more than 1 or 2 applications. They recommend 3 to 5 on the packaging but I imagine that would be overkill because the active ingredients are more than capable of causing overt sensation loss if over applied. Provided the Shunga spray is used appropriately you can expect a very pleasant experience that is not necessarily lessened, instead what I noticed is that the spray took the "edge" off of penile stimulation which is particularly useful during those periods in between ejaculations where sensitivity can be quite high.

One thing that Shunga's desensitizer spray will not do is help a man hold an erection so if that is a concern it may be best to just bite the bullet and upgrade to your erectile enhancer of choice. In terms of contact numbing I cannot really speak to that, but I do know that it is water soluble so it would probably be in one's best interest to use a condom when using this product with another person and that also applies to the cunning linguists out there. Finally, it would be prudent to clean the affected area after usage as desensitizer spray is not the kind of thing one would want to leave on the body for unnecessary periods of time.

In conclusion, Shunga has taken a relatively conventional product and presented it in such a manner that attempts to convey a sense of pride and understanding to users that may not necessarily be so kind to themselves. In doing so they help to show that all men can use a performance boost from time to time and Shunga's desensitizer spray just the product to provide it.
