The James Deen Signature Pump is intended to enlarge your penis through the use of a vacuum cylinder. Some men would use this toy on an occasional basis, using the device only once in a while before sex, helping them achieve a more impressive size and appearance. Others might use it more frequently, following a strict regime of increasing pressure and duration intended to gradually increase the physical size of the penis.

The information available on penis pumps is murky at best. While many people swear by such devices, claiming that with proper care and discipline, a permanent increase in size is achievable. Other dismiss these claims as pure hype, stating that the effects of penis pumps are temporary, inconsistent, and in some cases, dangerous. For the purpose of this review, I will comment only on my personal experience with this particular penis pump, and won't venture any opinions on penis pumps in general.

Like most sex toys, penis pumps are easy to use since they have only one base function. Here's how. First, lubricate your penis using a water-based lubricant, then insert it into the cylinder. Second, while holding the cylinder firmly in place with one hand, slowly squeeze the the pump's lever with the other hand. As you squeeze, the pressure inside the cylinder will gradually increase, and you will feel your penis expanding and filling with blood. It is important to keep an eye on the pressure gauge during this process. This will allow you to see how much pressure is adequate for your needs, and will help you determine how much is too much.

Pumping sessions can vary in duration as well as in the amount of pressure achieved. My advise is to go slow. Don't pump it up too much right away. See how much pressure is comfortable, and if you want to exceed that amount, do it gradually. There is no sense in hurting yourself in the name of novelty. After several uses, and several subsequent cleanings, no part of the pump shows any signs of wear, and it works as well as the day I got it.

I'm impressed with the design of this pump, and it has many feature that I think make it a better product than its competitors. First, it has a ruler along the side of the cylinder, which allows you to witness your penis growing in precise increments. Second, it features a pressure gauge, which is extremely useful in the safety department, and with repeat usage. Third, it has a pressure release button. For safety reasons, this is a must. Last, I like the style of the lever. Rather than the more common turkey-baster style, this lever is designed more like a trigger for your hand. I can't say why, but it just seems like it works better this way.

This pump is about 8 inches long on the inside, and 2.25 inches in diameter.

The pump works well. I found that it formed a good seal, and it took very few pumps to reach my maximum enjoyable pressure level. The lever was easy to work, requiring minimum force to squeeze with one hand. Lastly, the pressure release button worked effectively also.

It's probably a good idea to keep this pump clean and dry. During operation it gets extremely moist and foggy inside the cylinder. After use, I'd wipe it down with soap, water, and a cloth, all the while being careful not to get water inside the vacuum housing.

I imagine that there are two kinds of men that use penis pumps. There are those that, for whatever reason, eagerly seek those few extra centimeters length and girth. And then there are those that are simply curious, and all they're looking for is something new and fun to try. After all, a bigger penis can only be a good thing. I fall into this group. Until I received the James Deen Signature Pump, I'd never owned or used a penis pump in my life. I didn't know if it would feel good or bad, and to be honest, I was skeptical that it would make my penis bigger.

After trying it out a few times, I have the following conclusions. Did it make my penis bigger? Yes, a little. But while it was slightly larger, it was not as firm. I found that after a few pumps, my penis was significantly more engorged than usual. It looked impressive, but it did not improve my performance in bed, since I couldn't do quite as much with it. All in all the effect does not last unless you use a penis ring, in which case it will last as long as you leave it on.
