Overall, if you are thinking of trying something like this in male/female intercourse, it is the best one to try – but be prepared to be creative with the uses.
Pros:
Individually controlled bullets with good range of vibration.
Cons:
It is not really designed for thrusting male/female intercourse.
I was really excited to try the diving dolphin because I have tried other male/female cock ring type toys before that were a total waste of money. I had actually been really researching, looking at, and trying these types of toys for a couple of years before buying this one. Unfortunately, the dolphin ring didn't live up to my expectations.
While it is the best male/female partner toy I have tried, my male partner and I couldn't seem to get into any position or rhythm that made the vibrations worth the hassle of the cords. We both enjoyed it when we left the vibrations on low and just pressed against each other with very gentle thrusting; however, it was moderately uncomfortable with any serious thrusting motion for both of us. I felt like the bullets were banging into me (NOT pleasantly!) and he just felt like it was in the way. The controller cords were also not quite long enough to turn it off/up at the exact needed moment.
We tried several positions with the same result. As mentioned by other reviewers, the bullets do get hot, which is a negative for people who like to have male/female intercourse for longer than 30 minutes.
On the positive side, my female partner and I have enjoyed using the bullets without the toy. We each use a bullet and take turns with the controller. Again, 30 minutes or so is the limit when using the bullets. I actually used it alone recently for longer than 30 minutes and one of the batteries melted!
The jelly material of the dolphin cock ring is flexible and does stretch quite a bit, but also attracts lint and fuzz, so you will need to store it in a baggy after cleaning – unless you just like a bit of weird lint with your sex!
The bullets alone are also a little louder than you may expect, with a strange metallic noise sometimes.

I've had this for about 5 months now. After the first few uses with it with a former male partner, I set the dolphin ring aside and used the vibrating bullets without it. The bullets have gotten quite loud - probably close to a Bee Level of 5. However... I recently tried this with a new male partner. He really enjoyed the vibrations against the top of his penis base and those against his balls. I still didn't get much from the vibrations on my clit, but it was great to see his reaction. I told him I would be writing this review. He said to mention that it would be perfect, but for the limitation on penetration depth it causes. It is still the best cock ring toy I have tried.

Melted batteries huh? That sounds like a good reason not to use this. I think there are some better vibrating cock rings out there, like this one.
The batteries melted? Were they fresh batteries and of the exact kind, brand, and freshness? Also, had they been sitting in the toy for a while?
I honestly don't remember what brand of batteries they were. I am prone to buying Energizer so I would assume that was it. I don't keep batteries in my toys when not in use. I don't keep old batteries either. I think it just overheated. I still have this and that hasn't happened again - but I also haven't let it run for that long either.
Sounds painful as my partners and I are known for marathon sex sessions at times I wouldn't want to melt batteries I prefer the only thing to be melting is me! LOL (or them!)

LOL! I know, right? Beyond the battery pack getting hot - the real issue wound up being that it makes for shallow penetration unless your partner is quite...err... long in that department.
