Utopia vibrating love ring sex toy review

Cock ring by Topco

Published: June 4, 2008
extremely useful review
The idea behind the ring is smart, but when in use it falls short of being anything spectacular or even fun. The toy has fantastic vibrations when it actually hits the right spots, but the only way to make it work is to hold it in place during sex, and when there is already a new toy between the hips the last thing you need is a extra pair of hands. We tried the toy twice and both times we had to take the love ring off mid-act. I vote No. Nice try but no luck.
Pros:
Extra watch batteries. Vibrations felt good. Nice packaging.
Cons:
Material used, poorly designed. Doesn't stay in place. Flimsy. Hard to maneuver when in use.
This toy was definitely designed
David's Review:

First, let me start off by saying that I'm a big fan of cockrings, especially the vibrating ones. The vibrating cock ring is one of those few sex toys that have the potential to be exciting for each partner. The vibration provides a unique stimulation for the female partner. The male can enjoy the effect of the cockring on his own erection while providing some focus during sex through the manipulation of the toy against his partner.

Unfortunately, I found the Penthouse Couples Triple Action Utopia Love Ring to be as cumbersome to use as it is to say. This particular cockring is made of an ultra-stretchy material reminiscent of the Wacky Wall Walkers you may have played with as a child. There are two loops, one for the cock and one for the balls, along with an extension sleeve decorated with extrusions to "tickle" that accommodate a vibrating bullet. All sounds good, right? Uh-uh.

My first criticism really has nothing to do with the design of the phallic choker. My ballsack is fixed closely against my body, and as a result the loop meant to belt the man's testicles didn't really fit mine. I assume that if I had some low-hangers, it may have been a feature that I could have enjoyed more. I wore the cockring with an unused portion that led me to think, "So what am I supposed to do with this?"

The fit itself is another problem. The material used is so pliable that there is absolutely no tension while wearing it. When you first pull it out of the package, you think, "My penis is supposed to fit in there?!" But then you realize that this thing could probably be used by Kirstie Alley in lieu of a belt. My point is to not expect the usual engorged erection through the trapping of the blood.

The design and pliability combine to cause another problem. It can be a confusing thing to put on and utilize. The first time Morgana and I attempted to use, we ditched it. There was too much fiddling around to use all its parts and the bullet slides so far up the sleeve that it's difficult to work the vibrator.

Pliability caused another problem, and this time it was concerning Morgana's enjoyment. Because the material is so stretchy and offers no fixation on the penis, Morgana or I would often have to re-adjust the protrusion to fit the clitoral sweet spot or Morgana would actually have to hold it against her.

And because I have experience with these toys, I can tell you that it's a material that will tear sooner than you want it to. I'll also add a general criticism I have with vibrating cockrings... and that's the battery power. These things could easily accomodate a AAA battery for longer-lasting pleasure. Instead, these toys insist on utilizing watch batteries that die out almost as soon as you're getting into using it. I guess that's great for the ego as you can think to yourself that you outlasted the batteries in your sex toy. But from a practical standpoint, it sucks.

My rating: one star. I expect far more from a brand like Penthouse and could probably find more pleasure from a rubberband and an internal shiver.

I so totally agree with  you about the batteries on these vibes!  It's too bad this one didn't have more support for you.  It sounds like it would have been too flimsy even if the ball ring had fit properly.  :(
