Vibrating C-ring - cock ring discontinued by Tantus - review by Beezlebud

Tantus has been on the cutting edge of the silicone adult toy market since it began 15 years ago and has produced a nice vibrating C-ring that can be used by men, couples, and even women (if they have the proper dildo). The most ideal situation would be for a man to turn himself into a throbbing vibrator for their respective mate though it isn't the only use of a C-ring by far. Men can enjoy the sensations of the vibration while preforming masturbation or women can turn their non vibrating dildo into a vibrator just by slipping the C-Ring on it.

C-rings do require some knowledge and this particular model may be a little advanced for someone's first C-ring. The Tantus C-ring is designed to be worn behind the balls and should only be worn for 20 to 30 minutes at the max. The basic function of the C-ring is to constrict the base of the penis so more blood stays in the penis causing longer harder erections but this can cause damage to never ending if worn for longer than 30 minutes. Some experience with C-rings may be a plus before taking this 30 dollar plunge.

The Tantus C-ring is made from silicone which has a very smooth finish to the ring itself. The smooth finish is gentle on pubic hair and doesn't require the user rip a small forest out of themselves every time they decide to use it. Silicone is an extremely safe and durable product but Tantus picked a very inelastic silicone material and construction when designing this C-ring.

The bullet portion is also made of silicone but the silicone material makes it very difficult to remove the bullet in order to replace batteries, remove the paper tab, or use the bullet for anything else. The silicone material used on this C-ring is very thick, almost and inch in thickness, which reduced the elasticity of the silicone. There isn't much give to the ring it stretched about a 1/2 inch before returning to the original diameter of 2 1/8 inch. It was also difficult to remove myself from the ring after use because of the materials lack of elasticity.

Opening the box I said to my self "Whoa that's a big mother fucker...DAMN!!!"(that's two steps up from fluffy). I would have never walked into an adult store and bought this for myself because it looks so huge. It actually can fit around my wrist. After I got it out of the packaging I found it did fit quite nicely where it needed to. I personally measured the interior diameter of the ring at 2 1/8 - 2 1/4 inch and is an inch in thickness. At best the ring stretches approximately another 1/2 inch (with a lot of effort) achieving a maximum diameter of 2 5/8 inch. The packaging states that it should have a max stretch of 2 1/4 inch and a shipped diameter of 2 inches. You might want to measure the circumference of your balls and shaft before purchasing if you are worried about having this ring having a proper fit (here is the math: diameter = circumference / Pi(3.14159265)).



There it is in the packaging next to a can of Coke just to show how large it's overall appearance is. The back of the packaging has instructions on how to get the C-ring on but I would disagree with their suggestion of going testicles first. When I tried this method stretching the rigid material over the penis creates a lot of pressure on the testicles. An easier method is to slide it down the shaft then place each testicle though one at a time. Having the penis take the pressure caused by stretching the product is more bearable than the alternative.

The Tantus C-Ring has a bullet attached to the top of the ring which provides a stimulating vibration. The bullet is a great size and has a good feeling overall. There are only two settings "on" and "off". The vibration is firm and steady but I was hoping the bullet would have a low and high or a feature to change frequency of the vibrations. The bullet is not that loud unless you put it on a hard surface. A blanket may dampen the sound but not enough to keep a roommate from hearing it. No one should be able to hear the vibrating bullet through the walls but they might hear you or your partners expressing their enjoyment. While using the C-ring during a solo session turn the C-ring upside down to stimulate the P glands at the taint (skin in between your testicles and anus). For couple using the vibrator on top of the shaft should give stimulation to the clitoris, the large size of the bullet should help to accommodate most women's anatomy.

The performance of the actually C-ring was a little disappointing though I was surprised at how tightly it did fit after my first reaction to seeing it in the box. The fit was tighter than I had expected but did not have that comfortable feeling of some of the less expensive TPR silicone rings on the market. Also getting out of the ring felt problematic as the lack elasticity makes it difficult to remove one's testicles from the c-ring while still semi-erect.

This C-ring is made from silicone it is imperative that you use a water based lube. Silicone toys and silicone lube do not play well with each other. The combination will result in a very sticky situation and due to the time limit on wearing a C-ring getting stuck can cause nerve damage. This material is best suited for WATER BASED LUBES.

This C-ring is relatively small which makes storing and travel a breeze. The silicone material is an extremely safe antibacterial material only requiring a scrub with antibacterial soap after use. Though you may find it hard to removing the bullet for cleaning it I'd recommended lubing it up to help it get out.

The packaging looks like an antiquated electronic component that someone would buy from Radio Shack in the mid 90's. I was glad it didn't have someone wearing it on the front or some random porn star grabbing themselves but nothing on the packaging made me want to buy the product. The instructions on the back made it uncomfortable to put on. The packaging doesn't really make a convenient storage device for the ring due to it's large size.

Personally I'm glad I purchased the C-ring from Tantus because it will last a long time and feels great. I do not think this is a one size fits all product, it may be too lose for some and too tight for others. This is the reason I only gave it two stars, I think products should be able to accommodate everyone and provide an excellent feeling to any user. This product worked for me but I would not suggest this particular C-ring to everyone.

I really enjoy the experience of the vibrating C-ring by Tantus though it took a few tries to get it on and off in a reasonable time but the feeling was amazing. I have only used it by myself as of this review so I can only speak for me. By turning the bullet downwards toward the perineum glands the bullet sent amazing stimulation throughout the entire penis. The C-ring also gave the appearance of a fuller erection and the behind the ball design gives an interesting look to your junk.
