50 Shades of Controlling Grey!

If you're wanting to start BDSM or are an active dominator, you'll love this book! Have fun with this book as it's intriguing and is fun to read as you get further and further in this book. It's a great erotica book and you'll be glad to have bought it, and the good thing about this series is that they're talking about making it into a movie.

somewhat useful review
I had no idea what this book was really about but had heard a lot of good about it, so I jumped on the deal Eden Fantasys has on the series and bought all three books. If you know me very well, you'd know I don't like to read but last night I started and am already on chapter 10 of book one!! It's very intriguing to read and will have you yearning to read more and more as you get more into the chapters.

Chapter 1 is kind of boring telling how Anastasia Steele had an interview at Christian Grey Interprises and he seemed dangerous of sorts from the way he came across to her, and as the story line goes on they keep bumping into one another. She becomes drunk one night and he gives her a ride. Later in chapters, he takes her on his private plane to his apartment and shows her the "Playroom". He lets her know that he won't do anything until she signs an agreement to be his. She thought about it and agreed. Then he discovers she is a virgin which shocks him. They have some HOT sex and oral sex as the night goes on & eventually it happens more and more & she likes it even though she knows it's a different kind of relationship he wants.

You'll have to read the book to fully understand the story line and all the intimate details of BDSM and domination. I'm personally not in that type of marriage sexually and have no intentions of such, but a lot of people on here are and would benefit reading this book big time. It will get you hot inside and in the mood to have some steamy sex with your significant other! I love the first book and will start reading book 2 soon.

It gets really interesting starting in chapter 2 1/2 or 3 and will have you begging for the other two books once you're finished with the first one. You won't want to put the book down. It has a lot of BDSM and control on Christian Grey's part and submissiveness from Anastasia's part.
Experience
This book is hot and full of some intense descriptive sex scenes in words, not in pictures. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to see what 50 Shades of Grey is all about. I know I'm glad I bought it. Now, I understand a lot better what submissive/domination type of relationship is about. I didn't get why people choose that lifestyle.

Glad you like the book. A friend of mine (who also hates to read) is loving the series too. Even though it's gotten a pretty bad rap here, I might pick it up and give it a shot some day. Thanks for sharing your review.

    A) Dominant not dominator.
    B) This is a rip off of Mr. Gray the lawyer from the movie Secretary (who did it better)
    C) These books are shit compared to real lifestyle people. If you want to start in the kink scene, don't look at fiction books because that's all you'll get. Fiction.
    D) Fetlife. That is all.

P.S. The lifestyle isn't all about hot kinky sex and pain - its about trust, love, commitment and above all else loyalty. Its about knowing your partner deeper and better than any other relationship. Its about trust on a level most people can't begin to grasp. Its about complete and total honesty with yourself and your partner.

Ok. I will look up non fictional bdsm books then. Thanks.

I enjoy these books so far though - book 2. I've not heard of this kind of relationhip in that much depth until this book and reading reviews on here.

Honestly I'd have to say you should probably look for a Mentor to help with writing book reviews. Thanks for sharing.

I would highly recommend DynamicKitty as a mentor. She has helped me immensely.

While I did enjoy the books as a good escape, I do see some of the points That Sephani Page brought up when comparing the book to people really in the lifestyle. While the book does a good job at showing women that it is ok to stray from vanilla sex and embrace their "inner goddess", it does not really show the true level of commitment, communication, or trust that is the bases of a BDSM relationship. It is a good love story though, just wish Ana would have trusted him more to go into a true BDSM relationship.

    Thanks for sharing though.

Good idea, thanks everyone. I'll definitely get a mentor to help with book 2 review & will also look around for realistic books

Thank you for your review and your veiw which is totally valid.

The books however... not so much. Sorry everyone is jumping on you. There is a lot of passion out there about what a fairy tale disfuncitonal relationship the books are, and you might be getting caught in that back lash.

IMO... "Geralds Game" should be prerequ reading for 50 Shades.... just sayin'

Yeah, I was disappointed with the lack of "votes" this review got too, because I personally have never been part of or really heard of this type of relationship, especially to the altitude Grey & Anastasia have. I am getting a mentor for 2nd book review once i am done with the book.

If you have anymore realistic type reading that I can get on here like 50 shades but in a better manner, feel free to message me titles, so i can look at ordering them.

    Thanks

Great review. A friend of mine who has this book had me read a few pages. Interesting, but didn't spark my interest.
