A Cautionary Tale

A look at Jenna's whole life, from baby to babe complete with beautiful photographs and stories that might just make your eyes water, from sadness or laughing. After reading this book, Jenna became one of my all time heroes. Read her story to find out why.

Dont let the 600 page length of this book fool you! A thick book written by one of the hottest and most well known porn actresses may seem daunting and maybe even impossible, but here's a secret: a lot of it is pictures, photocopy journal entries.

In How To Make Love Like A Porn Star, Jenna uses her clearly girly girl writing style to tell her life story, which includes both the bad and the good. From her mother's death at the age of three, to tripping on LSD with her father the cop, to kicking glasses of vodka in the faces of men she stripped for, Jenna's story is fascinating.

She goes into detail about her past loves, including Jack who is responsible for her famous "heartbreaker" tattoo and was essentially the be all end all of her world and reason for getting into the porn industry. Through all of her struggles, she admits her faults (namely drugs and being kinda dumb around guys) and shows growth toward moving forward.

As I said before, many of the pages in this book are photos and journal entries. We see old photographs of baby faced Jenna at her first photo shoot, and read about her favorite songs at the age of 13 (Girls Girls Girls was one of them even!) In the journals we see her struggles from the point of view of her child-self, and eventually see her become a success at what she does.

Still, story wise this is indeed interesting as hell in my opinion, but I'm in to this kind of thing. If you care not for stripper/porn star stories you should obviously not read this, but that's what's right up my alley so I take it for what it is. It was suggested to me that everything she says in this book is a lie but I have no idea, I take it at face value because that's what is presented. If this is indeed a work of fiction it's a damn good read anyhow.

There are parts that are sad, like when she describes her traumatic gang rape as a teenager, and parts that are hilarious like the guy who eats can after can of tuna and pops off somewhere around 30 times as he gets paid $100 for every pop shot, and then tells her she has a "bomb pussy" and wants to keep it in his house.

The title is "How To Make Love Like A Porn Star, but this is not in fact a guide on making love like a porn star, though she does give clear and concise blow job instructions in one chapter. This truly is a cautionary tale, and does not glorify her stardom in any sense. Instead, it shows us her unintended rise to stardom in the porn industry and her casual but endearing style of telling it like it is.
