It's no secret that I love Violet Blue. I think she's brilliant, sassy, and sexy. I've read several of her instructional sex books because I think she tells it like it is and always provides even more information than I'd expect from a book like this. Her writing style is informal, honest, and always sex-positive. In other words, she's my kind of writer.

Her "Ultimate Guide to Fellatio" is no exception. Right from the get-go, it presents blowjobs as something fun and sexy that both partners can enjoy, which is exactly the kind of attitude that a fellatio beginner needs to be exposed to. I used to have plenty of hangups about interacting with penises, and I know that reading this book earlier would have helped me a lot with getting over that mental block.

I love that this book is peppered with fellatio erotica in between several of the chapters. Again, it reinforces the idea that blowjobs are fun and sexy, not scary or intimidating. It's such a treat to read an erotic story, get a little turned on, and then continue reading the informational parts of the book. Even that little bit of arousal is enough to open you up to the material some more, making it easier to absorb the tricks and techniques.

There's all sorts of relevant information in this book, from safer sex to prostate stimulation to flavored lube options. Ms Blue has really covered her bases - and where she hasn't been able to expand too much, she's recommended other resources for the reader to turn to. This is a thorough bible on fellatio that I think would be useful to both beginners and people who have sucked a fair amount of dick in their time.

Just as with Ms Blue's book on cunnilingus, I was very grateful for the ample information on tastes and textures. Cum is a big source of anxiety for many people at the beginning of their blowjob journey, and this book handles it respectfully and positively.

My mom borrowed this book and thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
