A little bit of each typical taboo

This softcover book includes an eclectic mix of taboos to excite the mind. It is geared toward women, which could be considered sexist. However, I see why it is labeled as such. The stories did not illicit much visualizing for me. Men tend to be more visual. There was more plot than in the erotica that leans more toward porn style. I would imagine that anyone could find at least one story that would "do it" for them.

Something for everyone.

Stories do not illicit visuals in the mind as much as some erotica.

About author

I had no prior experience with any of the authors in the book. I tend to stick to online reading. I felt the majority of authors were predictable in their subject matter. I found much of the wording when it came to "dirty" words to sound forced and insincere. I guess that is why I prefer real life writing online.

Content / Style / Audience

A collection of 18 short stories. Each story is written by a different author. I found most of the stories to be focused on a different theme, which some may consider taboo. It does reach out to different audiences.

Design

The picture on the cover of a naked woman is tastefully done, yet hot! Not a very discreet cover however. She was actually my favorite part of the book ironically.

Personal comments

I chose not to include too many specific story details in this review. The reason I decided to go this route is that I personally hate spoilers.

Experience

The first several stories I read felt like an assignment, not me time. They did nothing for me. Too short to have time to get worked up and didn't even encourage me to touch myself.

I was tempted to not finish a few stories, but I felt like I would be doing a disservice to my fellow Eden members. After a few nights of reading, I did find a handful of stories to my liking. I am picky if you haven't figured that out by this point in the review.

The stories that did it for me led to some one-handed reading. One story even led to me tossing the book aside to give myself my full attention.
Follow-up commentary
I picked my favorite story. I enjoyed "AMY" by Heidi Champa.

Out of curiosity, I Googled her. I figured maybe she has written other stories I might enjoy. I found her blog!

I have been able to learn more about her. It was neat to put a face to the name. She is also an inspiration as a writer. I am always looking for inspiration.

I use Blogger as well for my blog. It was neat to see that someone as successful as she is uses the same medium.

Writers must do much reading. I need to read more. I will be reading more of her work. I am also looking forward to learning more about her journey as a writer.

The book for this review was a reminder to me that I need to do more reading. I must confess that online is still my medium of choice for reading material.

Good to know information here! I just hate reading a formula fiction book. Gets on my nerves! Especially when it comes to erotica.

I'll stick to reading blogs. No need to buy a book that I have to search through to find something. Once I find a blog I like, I keep going back for more,
