Dr. Sonia Borg has a well educated background with degrees in communication, public health, and human sexuality. She is certified as a clinical sexologist and has been featured as such on different television and radio shows. Her authority and knowledge on the subject is apparent in the quality of writing in this book. She also includes a list of resources in the back of the book for additional reading or viewing.

This book is written both for the novice as well as the more experiences practictioner of fellatio. It's not strictly limited to heterosexual couples, but the writing style of presenting "scenarios" in which the blow job skills are discussed sets the context within a man/woman couple, perhaps not making the text very accessible to other types of couples.

The book is a quality soft-cover for the price. The cover is made of extra heavy duty material and the binding both allows the book to lie open relatively flat while demonstrating durability. I think since it's a larger size I'm glad it's a paperback because a hardcover book would be too heavy.

The title and the cover as shown are not at all discreet. The back shows a naked woman kneeling down before a naked man and is even less display friendly. I've been consulting this book a lot before bed yet hate to leave it lying about anywhere in case a friend enters my room for some reason.

The text contains 52 different "BJ scenarios that turn fellatio into a sex event". Within each scenario the author describes how to set the mood, what skills to use, and ways for both partners to help develop the fantasy itself.

The graphic layout of the interior could be more useful. Almost every other page is a full-pate photo of a couple meant to illustrate the scenario. They are beautiful photos, but since they are limited in their explicitness they usually only illustrate a position, not a technique. Illustrations of technique are usually handled with color line drawings.

I was interested in reviewing this book because although I would describe myself as having good oral sex skills, I know that I only have so many techniques to call upon. I thought a "guide" like this would give me some pointers. This particular book is focused on different scenarios, some more fantastical than others, within the context of which different skills are discussed. A lot of the scenarios just were not for me. They were a bit too elaborate for me to pull off. My boyfriend and I tend towards romantic or dirty sex and just get down to it. But I still liked the layout because I can flip through and find a scenario I know I haven't read yet and pick up some quick tips before bed.

There are 52 positions to treat your guy well for a year if you wish! I've picked up some new skills and he's definitely been appreciative. I just showed him the book and said he could either pick something out or I could surprise him. He's been really turned on by the idea of me reading the book and although I was less successful at some techniques or they didn't float his boat the learning process has been fun. If you are a couple who communicates well this coule be a fun game. If you have some trouble communicating sexual desires I think this could be a good starting point for a discussion.
