The lovely and intelligent Tristan Taormino narrates
The Expert Guide to Positions, a DVD which covers our favorite standbys and dozens of sexy variations. I adore sex-ed which covers all the bases from "extremely educational" to "wildly erotic," and this film gives it all.
You can choose to view the film in a couple different ways. As you're learning the positions, watch with the narration turned on. The view also includes pop-up bubbles with extra hints and tips. Later, watch the scenes without narration for more of an arousing experience.
The DVD contains two bonus scenes as well as a primer on safer sex. I was fascinated to see demonstrations of dental dams, plastic wrap and even a tongue condom created from a rubber glove. I'm not exactly sure when I'll be needing a tongue condom; nevertheless, the film managed the difficult task of making the use of these items appear incredibly sexy.
Taormino's narration is interesting and informative. She points out benefits and drawbacks of each position, as well as what body types would work best. For each position, she describes how to get the most pleasure from various penis types.
The performers had great chemistry together, which is true of all the
Tristan Taormino films I've seen thus far. However, this is a film aimed squarely at heterosexual couples. While many if not all of the positions could be adapted for girl/girl or boy/boy use, none of these pairings are shown or discussed in the film.
Also, some might find the pop-up bubbles annoying and distracting. The seemed to show up right over the performer's naughty bits at exactly the most crucial moments. I was glad to find that each scene was also available without bubbles.

Yeah, I was amused too. She did show a guy performing oral with it on, but it was kind of...porn oral? You know, with just the tip of the tongue? Not really how I like to do it.

I'm amused by the idea of a tongue condom. Though, really, I think it kind of defeats the purpose of safe sex barriers if you substitute that for a dental dam- lips and mouth tissue are still uncovered (I'm trying to imagine some oral activity that makes use only of the tongue while keeping other skin not touching, and it's hard).
And the wishlist grows longer... Sounds like a great DVD!
