Though I'm not a fan of vampires myself, I decided to check this book out just for the heck of it. What I found is that I'm still not into vampires and it might just be that every story I've ever read about them has been poorly written. Bad writing turns me off and this book was full of it, save for a few stories.

Content / Style / Audience

This is a collection of vampire erotica, which I am not into, but I'm all about changing genres every now and then to learn something if I can. I knew that it wouldn't exactly turn me on, but I read for entertainment value most of the time.

I was not entertained.

A few of the stories had interesting writing styles, particularly in the stories "Wait until dark, Montresor" and "Fair Play." But overall there were really stupid lines in some of the stories like "he made the sounds of a baby mammal trying to find its mother's teat as we fucked" and "and then Dracula was all 'this is so fucking awesome.'"

Younger (over 18 of course) readers who enjoy Twilight and other vampire-related nonsense might enjoy this book. But the more sophisticated readers and those who are deeply into vampire porn might want to skip this one.

Okay, the review was not so informative (have to remember that those who do like this stuff will read it, too, and may want a bit more info) but the title made me laugh my butt off!

i tried to convey that even though i didn't like it, it wasn't just because it was vampire sex it was because of bad writing. even someone who DOES like that stuff wouldn't much care for this if they know anything about decent literature.
