The third installment of Tristan Taormino’s Vivid-Ed series “Expert Guide to Oral Sex: Fellatio” is wonderful for those just beginning with oral sex and those who are old hat can learn a thing or two as well. Tristan speaks on the physical and biological aspects of pleasure without resorting to crude slang.

There are several different scenes to choose from, with or without instruction. I found the versions of the scenes with instruction to be a distraction. It reminded me of a bad version of VH1’s “Pop-up Video”. The instructions and tips offered were quite useful, but not when you were trying to pay attention to other aspects of the video.

The information in this video is wide ranging, going from the beginning of arousal to the end. There are techniques and tricks for each stage of arousal: warm up, experiment, rhythm, and orgasm. There are informative sections on prostate stimulation, fellatio on an uncircumcised penis and deep-throating. I liked the variety of topics that were covered.

The look of the video is sleek and high class. The actors, who I sadly discovered are not really “real life couples”, all have real bodies. They are varied in gender expression and color, which was really nice to see. It’s enjoyable to be able to watch porn with people who “look like you” and not huge breasted blond women.

One of the negative things I would say about this video is Tristan’s stilted manner. I have seen her speak several times and she is much more animated and vibrant than in this video. She seems more concerned with “performing” in the role of educator and comes off robotic and like she is reading cue cards.

On the whole, this is a wonderful video and some of the more irritating aspects can be overlooked for the wealth of knowledge and techniques that are explicitly and expertly explained.
