Music For Massage review

I tried the CD out once more on another client who was a bit older, and he enjoyed the CD immensely, like the last one. This time, I listened a little more intently and actually liked what I heard, though I normally wouldn't listen to this type of music. So from now on, I'm going to bring this CD along with me to all my massages in hopes that it will help create the perfect mood for my work.

extremely useful review
Before I received this CD, I always wondered where masseuses got their music and if there was some kind of massage music line of CDs that they all knew about. As someone who gives professional erotic massages from time to time, I always came up blank when a client would ask if I had any music to play. I'd never thought to bring any along and would try to tune in the light jazz station on the radio to find something relaxing and appropriate for massage. Ugh. Needless to say, that stuff is usually awful.

So when I received Music for Massage in the mail, I was excited to try it out on some of my clients. The CD claims to be the top soundtrack for massage therapy, and the composer, Steve Halpern, composes music exclusively for relaxation, wellness, and massage. Well then, he must know what he's doing. Even the picture on the cover, a nude woman getting massaged by a pair of strong male hands; made me want to get a massage.

Instead, the roles were reversed, and it was I who was doing the massaging, but that was fine. I dragged it along to a client's house, who had trouble finding a CD player (these things are extinct nowadays), but popped in into his laptop and played it while I massaged him. Right off the bat, we were both relaxed by the gentle piano and violin compositions. The music is ethereal and light, but most of all, very soothing. I asked him his opinion of the CD, and he agreed that it was very nice and appropriate for massage.

Most of the pieces are gentle piano with string accompaniment, and some have different flutes and violins. It is definitely the kind of music you'd want to hear while having a massage or possibly doing yoga, meditation, and even taking a bath. Each song flows into the next, and none of them are distracting. I found them to actually make my work easier, and the client more in tune to what I was doing.

Whether you're a professional masseuse or just like giving massages to your partner at home, I would highly recommend this CD. It really is the best soundtrack for massage therapy, like the CD claims, and will enhance your experience tremendously.
