Ever read a book that when you have finished, you feel like you have been left dangling and you just can't get enough? You want more? The Slave is indeed one of those books, that have had that effect on me. I am so collecting the whole damn series now. Hot, hot and hot...*fans self*.
A highly constructed fictional world, that is so well written it seems almost real.
Hardcover would be nice considering it's part of a series.

This is a thought provoking and intelligent book. I found it emotionally challenging in terms of some of the sex depicted, and I liked that. However, it's not straight ahead porn for porn's sake. If you are looking for a collection of simple dirty stories, you likely want to spin on to another selection.
Well-written, good insights into psychological dimensions of BDSM. Has a forced vomiting.
Not easy to masturbate with as the sexy bits are interrupted with non-sexy parts.

A great book for beginners, but if you're looking for Shibari you would do better off with another book. Full of fantastic safety information!

Much of the repetitive info in this book could have been taken out, leaving more space for illustrations. If you are already experienced with bondage you can probably pick up a few new tricks from this book, but if you know nothing about rope work you probably will not be able to follow the written instructions very easily. Despite lots of useful information this book should not be your only resource on bondage; however it’s a good addition to a resource library if you are putting one together.
Pros: Lots of information about bondage, good info on supplies and safety.
Cons: Not enough pictures, clearer diagrams of knots and positions are definitely needed
