The better sex guide to the Kama Sutra - erotic music by Ultimate - review by Bon Bon

As someone fairly new to the world of heterosexual sex, I found this video helpful; I purchased it for an idea of some new positions for my boyfriend and me to try and for the Kama Sutra suggestions about being a better lover overall, and it definitely provided both those things. The brief overview of the Kama Sutra at the beginning was a little shallow, but would be intriguing to one who does not know anything about the famous text.

Professor Prakash Kothari, M.D, PhD and a few other sexual health spokespeople give the rundown on what the Kama Sutra is all about – being a better lover, both sexually and emotionally – and building healthy sexual relationships based on mutual appreciation rather than goal-oriented sex. The rest of the video consists of examples of how to be that better lover: sensate focus, mutual bathing, massage technique, touching before beginning sexual intercourse, foreplay. The couples acting out these examples are real couples, and it’s refreshing to watch two ordinary people pleasuring each other rather than actors playing parts.

The next part of the 60-minute video, the section that takes up most of the video, is a demonstration of several sexual positions of the Kama Sutra. Variation is stressed for overall sexual satisfaction, and many of the positions are first demonstrated without the use of toys and then with them. These include the Blossoming Position, Indrani Asana, the Twining Position, the Pressed Position, the Half Pressed Position, Splitting of the Bamboo, Turning Position, Suspended Congress – a standing position – Congress of the Cow, Top Position and Pair of Tongs. Each position is a variation on traditional positions, and definitely worth giving a go.

My boyfriend and I have begun to incorporate the lessons given in The Better Sex Guide to the Kama Sutra, but we have yet to try all the positions. The ones we have tried have become a normal part of our sex life, however, and I look forward to giving them all a go, as the couples definitely make each position look appealing.

After watching this with my boyfriend, our sex life has definitely improved; we've begun having sex more often, and concentrating more on foreplay and touching. Bathing together has become a nice addition to our foreplay. We still haven't tried all of the positions, but we've loved the ones we've tried so far.
