The Lowdown on Going Down is an easy to read, educational and instructional book written by Marcy Michaels. This highly informative book provides exercises for proper mouth function before getting intimate. The book includes techniques and exercises to prepare for and perform great oral sex on a female. The author has a lighthearted and humorous feel to her writing, making it easy to understand.

The text is blocked throughout the book, simplifying the read. There are many topic headings leading into the paragraphs, as well as techniques, illustrations, and an Oral Sex Fitness Test. There are some simple line illustrations of parts of the human body, including mouth and vagina. Many chapters include informative techniques and advice for preparing the mouth for oral sex. There are entire chapters dedicated to Tonguework, Kissing, Mouth Exercises, and Breathing Exercises. The beginning chapters teach proper form before beginning oral sex and foreplay techniques. You get a mini Anatomy class followed by techniques for finding the g-spot, using a vibrator, and some information about female ejaculation. Chapter 11 contains 18 pages of "Essential Oral Sex Techniques," leading into Chapter 12 which includes positions for great oral. The book closes up with an informative chapter about various types of sex toys and the closing chapter includes MORE techniques, information about lubricants, using chocolate and ice, and a page or two about group sex. The last two pages are the conclusion and About the Author page. Anyone looking to spice up their oral technique or looking to learn a few tricks would gain much knowledge from this book.

This book has a lot of valuable information for anyone looking to pleasure a lady. I fully believe that anyone would gain important knowledge from reading this little book. Unfortunately for me, my boyfriend's short attention span has gotten him through only a few pages. So, although I can read the wonderful information in this book, I have yet to have it performed on me. That's what the follow-up is for right?
