Wicked Passions: Heart Strings

Wicked Passions is a line by Wicked Pictures specifically marketed for couples. Heart Strings was actually the first of the line to feature a fully scripted story line instead of vignettes. It was directed by adult actress/director Stormy Daniels. The story is about a burnt out country singer who just wants some time off. He runs away to be alone and ends up working at Emma's family ranch. Of course they start to fall in love, but someone shows up at the ranch to pop the couple's bubble. Although the film is marketed towards couples, I do feel that the film's plot will appeal much more to women.

Sex Scenes

The sex in the film is very tame and the couples are heterosexual. There is no anal, no strange positions that leave you wondering how on earth the actors are doing it, no spitting or spanking and no unsafe sex practices. In fact, the fact that the actors are wearing condoms is not hidden at all. The positions featured are variations on missionary, cowgirl and doggy style and they all end in a cum shot (I did not know condoms could be whipped off that fast).

The interviews/behind the scenes are a wonderful addition for those who may not be familiar with Wicked Productions in general. The feature the actors perceptions of working for the company compared to other mainstream porn productions. It also shows how much the actors enjoyed working with each other and for Wicked.

The scene from another Wicked Passions movie: Getting Away from it All features a sex scene between Bill Bailey and Karina O'Reilly. Again the sex is romantic and pretty vanilla. The actors very convincingly happy to be having sex with each other; nothing seemed forced. Again, the scene ended in a cum shot (I'm sensing a theme...).

Another bonus scene features sex between the film's leading lady Brooklyn Lee and her boyfriend Casey. The scene is filmed in Casey's truck bed and quite honestly, the lighting is a bit dark. It gets a bit better for the good stuff though.

The promo for the Wicked Passions line seems to focus more on women than couples in terms of it's marketing which could be confusing to some.

This film is cute! Can porn be cute? Well, this one is. I enjoyed the plot and the acting was pretty good. The sex scenes are not too long, but they are repetitive and after a while they are a little too vanilla, even for me. That being said, the movie did get me aroused and I was able to have fun with it. I love the whole cowboy/sweet country girl motif. There were little things that added to my enjoyment of the film: the country music in the background, the chemistry between the actors and the fact that the sex was safe and romantic. I was also pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of the cum shots. They are a personal guilty pleasure of mine. Watching it happen in the film just made me super happy and excited!

I might have preferred at least one scene of raw passion and it almost happens! Part of the fun of the film is that when it comes to the main couple, the film is such a tease! Speaking of sex scenes, why the scene featuring Brooklyn Lee and Seth Gamble was cut from the beginning of the film is beyond me. Instead, we only see it in chunks with the beginning credits. I loved this scene! It was by far my favourite and if I ever just want to watch one really good sex scene, I'll pop this DVD in and go straight to this scene. There is nothing really special about is compared to the rest of the sex in the movie, but I think that the film seems more complete with this scene in it. I have watched the film from then on with this scene first, then started the rest of the film.

And Michael Vegas can actually sing and play the guitar! It's awesome; he's pretty darn good. I legitimately want the title track from the film on my iPod. In fact, I think the film uses country music to it's advantage because in my opinion, country music lyrics are about very real and normal experiences. They can be very corny and/or incredibly happy and romantic which I think is perfect for this couples porn film. I also love country music, so I found it to be a turn on.

Even though the film is marketed for couples, I really don't see myself watching this with my man. I know he would hate the country music and he may even be a touch bored with the whole thing. However, I like it for my alone time and I will continue to watch it regularly. I would love more films from the Wicked Passions line.

Lastly, and this has nothing to do with sex (but I guess it could in the right situation), I want all of the jewelry that Brooklyn Lee wears in this movie. It's gorgeous, nuff' said!
