Taboo: Forbidden Fantasies for Couples review

For a book of erotic short stories, Taboo: Forbidden Fantasies for Couples is by far one of best that I've ever read! I loved it. The adjectives that come to mind include wicked, sexy, wild, decadent, and outrageous. My husband found some of the stories too intense to read all at one time. I didn't have that problem- I just wanted sex and satisfaction as a result!

The book consists of twenty- two short stories by as many authors. According to the biographies in the back of the book, most of the authors have published in numerous other sources; magazines, books, and online journals. Some of the authors are editors of other publications.

Selections of these stories are well written fantasies, but similar to other erotic stories. In "Picture Perfect" by Donna George Storey, a woman shaves her pussy and calls her husband to tell him. The real surprise isn't that he rushes home from work, but that he sets up a video camera because he's heard of a rich man that wants to pay for video footage of everyday wives that he can't have. It's a nice scene, but not the most creative. Pearl Jones' story "Forbidden Fruit" is similar. Many adults that have explored any erotica or sex blogs have heard of food in foreplay. It's a great story with cucumbers, raspberries, and everything else they find from the grocery store, but not incredibly unique from my perspective.

Most of this book is a wild ride though. In "Sometimes It's Better to Give" by Bryn Haniver, the character Julie says, "I'm sick of being fucked," and later "Get dressed. We're going shopping for strap-ons," and later still "I'll use this to fuck the babysitter." It turns into a very interesting night. In a different story, her date drops her off and tells her to walk quickly down an alley. She ends up with her dress cut off by a switchblade. Another story shows what happens when two women decide to teach her husband what rough sex can truly be like. Was it planned or did he want it this way? It's a bit scary; the account is so rough, and I don't flinch easily. "Alice" by M. Christian the wife discovers her husband's tendencies to want to be sweet and feminine.

This is one of the hottest books I've seen! I loved reading every single bit of it. Putting it down in the middle of a story was something I wasn't going to do easily. Often after reading several stories, I only had one goal in mind, lots of wonderful sex! On a vacation- I could get what I wanted. If you read at any other time, you better be careful!
