Daily Sex - book by Warner Books - review by Dame Demi

Daily Sex is my kind of sex manual! Ok, the artwork leaves a little to be desired, but other than that, I think this is a great book! It is large, reasonably priced, and full of interesting suggestions.

Daily Sex contains a new sexual position or activity for every day of the year, including leap years. It is broken down by month and day, so your “year” of daily sex can be started at any time. It even has an extra activity for leap years!

My favorite aspects of Daily Sex are that it offers a wide variety of positions and activities, and that they are not all positions I would necessarily come up with on my own! If I am going to buy a book of sexual positions, I want some NEW ideas, not all variations on Missionary or Doggie Style, or things I have already tried. This book has more useful suggestions for the first two months than many books of sexual positions have total!

The suggestions are not limited to sexual positions, either. They also include oral sex activities, and ideas for self, mutual, and partner masturbation. Some of the activities are on the wild and potentially taxing side (if you are not in the greatest of shape), and some are just plain silly (wearing sunglasses while having sex). But they are all presented in the spirit of good fun and spicing up your sex life even if you do not have a lot of time or resources.

This book is great for working through on a day-by-day basis for those who want to incorporate some sort of sexual activity into their daily lives. I think, however, it is equally effective as a guide for random activities—just open it up to a random page and have at it! It is great fun to read with a partner and discuss the different options, and each explanation of position or activity is presented in a descriptive and easy-to-read format.

The artwork in the book is on the sparse side, and the book is not exactly a visual delight. However, the illustrations generally do the job (though I found one or two that do not exactly seem in harmony with the activity’s description), and because they are simple illustrations they are unlikely to be “dated” anytime soon.

For the price, I think Daily Sex is an amazing book full of a ton of good and exciting ideas, and I would highly recommend it to the casual reader as well as those looking to truly incorporate daily sex into their lives!
