A collection of classic lesbian vampire tales, from an age when exquisitely sexy stories didn't necessarily involve explicitly detailed sex.
About half of these stories would be rated PG-13, and most of the rest would only barely earn an R rating. Most of these stories are very well written, but I wasn't looking for a vampire romance book when I bought this. There is a serious lack of sex in this book.
This book isn't worth reading. I would especially not suggest getting this book if you have problems with children (aged 13) being forced into having sex.
This compilation is done by edited by someone who loves Vampire stories, weather they are erotic or not seems not to matter. Some of the stories were exceptional, while others put me to sleep. There are a few gems in here worth mentioning.
Unless you are just looking for lesbian vampire stories with no real sex to speak of, you may want to look elsewhere. Some of the stories are alright but it just wasn't what I was expecting.
For the love of the Gods, Goddesses or anything you consider sacred, if you like lots of hot and heavy vampire sex, don't waste your time reading the rest of this review. Hit the back button, and go somewhere else. The sex in Daughters of Darkness isn't worth the wait.
For the die hard vampire genre fan this is a great read! The stories are lush, erotic and about a section of vampirism that sometimes gets overlooked; the lesbian vampire. Some of the stories are classics and some are quite contemporary but all have something to offer the interested reader.
'Daughters of Darkness' is a mix of stories from very talented authors all giving their take on the lesbian vampire genre. It might be a book for a very particular person. Although this book doesn't have too much sex, some of the stories were very creative.
If you are into vampires, blood, and horror movies, with a little side of sex, this is for you. If you're looking for vampire PORN this is not the book for you. This book is more vampires thinking about sex than vampires having sex.
