This was a well-written set of erotic short stories, and would be a nice addition to someone's collection. I would have preferred if there were more of them, but this leaves room for a sequel!

This is the first time I've read Claudia Varrin's work, and was pretty impressed by it. The style of Her writing makes it easy for Her readers to visualize each scene as it happens, without it becoming repetitious.

Content / Style / Audience

The Female Dominant: Games She Plays is a book describing the various encounters that Claudia Varrin has as a professional Dominatrix with an almost never-ending array of characters, including bit players and repeat performers. Each character is memorable and well-described, the personality shining forth from the page like a lantern to show you the way to the next scene.

Each scene and chapter is written clearly and concisely, using a flowing style and descriptive language, enabling the reader to see the flicker of the candle flame, smell the sweetness of the roses, and hear the whimpers of pain as the tortures continue. The creak of latex and leather can practically be heard, the texture practically felt, with each turn of the page.

This book is geared towards fetishists, kinksters, lifestylers, and people who like erotic stories. This would also be a good book for couples to read to each other, a kind of aphrodisiac.
Follow-up commentary
I was thinking about this book the other day, and pulled it out of storage to read through it once more. I still like the scenes, and it definitely gave Me more ideas to use in My own BDSM dynamics.

Nice book to have in one's collection, and I am, in a way, looking forward to another from the same author.

Good review! I'd love to know just how hardcore this book is, maybe some descriptions of some of the more heavy and softer scenes so that I can know its range of BDSM.

I'd like to know a bit more about why the author is qualified, if you have that info. You touch on it later but more could be said.

Your Content section is SO well written but I'd love a specific quote or scene you found arousing. Did you find some didn't arouse you? Is she always the Domme in her scenes? Does she work with both genders? Is this only for erotic purposes or could it be educating as well?

I echo Sir's comments about the types of activities. Erotica is one of those things I am so picky about that I really like to read specific reviews.

Also, and maybe this is me just being dense, but it seems like this could possibly be autobiographical or fiction - which is it?
