Essentially A Brief Instruction Manual

If you plan on purchasing a penis pump, then a good instruction manual is a necessity. If your pump did not come with one included, then this may be a purchase you should make. For most users of penis pumps, this booklet will be an unnecessary purchase, as it includes more pictures of naked men than useful/interesting information about using pumps.

extremely useful review
The Pumper's Handbook is made by California Exotic Novelties by way of Dr. Joel Kaplan. He is responsible for promoting many of the higher-end vacuum pumps on several toy websites, including EdenFantasys. This instruction manual has only 65 pages, and several are used up with pictures of men demonstrating how to use their pumps. The booklet is NOT discreet; it has two naked men on both the front cover and the back cover. In fact, there are naked men on almost every page. So, if you like that, then you're in for a treat. In terms of being instructional, they don't really add a whole lot to illustrate the techniques. For example, when instructed to apply lube and massage for 5 minutes before pumping, there are no pictures of men demonstrating those steps. If I wanted a product that showed male models, I'd buy a dedicated erotic book or deck of cards.

The table of contents includes: A foreword written by Dr. Joel Kaplan, an introduction, the anatomy of the penis (male reproductive system), importance of penis size, pump selection guide, warm-up session, techniques for a super session, pumping schedule, before and after, and questions and answers. The handbook itself tells readers that the original purpose of penis pumps was to help erectile dysfunction or to maintain strong erections. However, it is not until the "Questions and Answers" section in the back of the booklet that it says "Some individuals do report permanent results both in the flaccid and erect state." This statement is equivalent to the legal disclaimers for all weight-loss pills that say "Individual results may vary." In fact, if you read the fine print under the table of contents you will find a passage stating "This publication is published for information only. No guarantee is implied by the publisher." Many people who are ill-informed about penis pumps do not understand that it is not intended to make a penis larger; that is simply a side effect of achieving a stronger erection. After using a penis pump, the tissue inside of the penis will be engorged with more blood than you will normally have during an erection. So, most men do report a temporary increase in size (and almost always girth). However, when your erection starts to go down, your erection will go back to normal. Not surprisingly, the "Before and After" pictures depict men who are flaccid or semi-erect before pumping and fully erect just after or during pumping.

Altogether, the Pumper's Handbook is really just an instruction manual with more pictures than the one that will be included in any high quality pump that you purchase. If you enjoy looking at the pictures illustrating pumping, then this is a great product. If you want a reference for how to use a pump effectively, this product does not offer a lot of additional information than what will be found on the pump's instructions itself.
Experience
I've used pumps before, and do enjoy the feeling of having a "super" erection - at least for about 10-15 minutes. From my experience, it always helps to use a cock ring immediately afterwards to prolong the benefits a little more. After using pumps for about 2 months, I did notice a slight increase in my girth. However, a couple of weeks after my pump broke, I didn't notice the difference anymore. To give you the rundown on using pumps: Don't over-pump, stop whenever you feel pain/discomfort, use lube, massage before use, shave for a good seal, pump for 10-15 minutes at a time, and use a cock ring afterwards. I do not have a script for Viagra so I cannot comment on their combined use. After a few months you may (or may not) see a little difference in your erections with or without using the pump. However, it's certainly a lot less costly than a surgery in which the ligaments inside the penis are cut to lengthen the penis.
Follow-up commentary
This booklet is still not a resource I recommend as worth anyone's time. It only collects dust in a drawer of mine.

Good review, but I wonder if you feel it was worth the 10$ price tag when most "good" pumps come with the same material free in the pamphlet?
